00:24When star Liu recently posted on his Threads account a new social media app telling fans to ask him anything,
00:30one fan inquired about a status update on the highly anticipated sequel, which is currently in development.
00:35The actor wrote,
00:36Although we didn't give details on what those circumstances are,
00:44Disney has recently made changes to its release calendar,
00:46including pushing back Avengers Secret Wars to May 7th, 2027,
00:50as well as pushing Avengers The Kang Dynasty back a year to May 1st, 2026.
00:55Several other Marvel projects have also been delayed due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike,
00:59including Thunderbolts and Blade.
01:01Liu added in his post that he hopes to have more concrete news to share soon.
01:05In the meantime, the actor can be seen in the upcoming Barbie movie, which hits theaters on July 21st.
