00:00Plenty of revelations have already been made in the lead-up to the release of Britney Spears' memoir,
00:04but now we're getting further insight into all that she endured during her decade-spanning career.
00:11Spears' memoir hit shelves on Tuesday after headline-making excerpts such as the abortion she had during her relationship with Justin Timberlake
00:18and her audition tape for The Notebook, which was released online following the news.
00:23Upon its release, there were also other highlights worth pointing out.
00:27The first was her opportunity to star in another high-profile movie.
00:31Spears said she was pursued for a role in the 2002 film Chicago,
00:35but she writes of not wanting to be distracted from her studio music career.
00:39She reflects that she regrets not making it,
00:42and that she wishes she used the power she had back then to be more rebellious in her decision-making.
00:47The memoir also shared further insight into the details of her breakup with Timberlake.
00:51The NSYNC member broke up with Spears via text message
00:54while she was on the set of the Overprotected remix music video.
00:58She went home to Louisiana to recover from the shock,
01:01and he flew out to see her, bringing with him a letter he'd written and had framed
01:04that ended with a line,
01:06I can't breathe without you.
01:08She also noted that Timberlake had a habit of using BlackScent
01:11and African-American vernacular English during the NSYNC days.
01:14Other highlights from the memoir was how Spears' Baby One More Time music video
01:19was almost a futuristic astronaut concept with Spears in a Power Rangers-esque outfit
01:24instead of the iconic high school set,
01:26how Madonna initiated her into Kabbalah with a red string ceremony,
01:30and how her team pressured her into her Gimme More VMA performance
01:33as she was in the midst of dealing with the trauma of a custody battle
01:36and sleepless nights, among other revelations.
