00:00If I told you it was just a summer thing, I'm only 17, I don't know anything, but I know I miss you.
00:12Taylor Swift made her return to the Academy of Country Music Awards for the first time in seven years, and boy did she deliver.
00:19During Wednesday night's 55th Academy of Country Music Awards, Swift gave her debut performance of her song Betty off her latest album, Folklore.
00:26Taylor kept things simple during her performance at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry house, strumming her guitar as a harmonica player joined her on stage from a safe distance.
00:44Betty is off of Swift's eighth studio album, Folklore, released in July, only a day after the singer surprised fans with an announcement of the new album on social media.
00:54Though the performance marks her return to the ACMs after transitioning into pop, the singer has continued to make achievements in the world of country music.
01:02Swift penned Little Big Town's hit song Better Man in 2016, and she also appeared in Sugar Land's 2018 single, Babe.
01:14Betty also ranked in the top 10 of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.
01:18Folklore marks Swift's first since her recent album, Lover, released in August of 2019.
01:23Taylor revealed that she created the 16-track album while in quarantine amid the pandemic.
01:28The singer's eighth album sold over 1.3 million copies globally in 24 hours, according to Republic Records.
01:34It was streamed on Spotify over 80.6 million times, breaking the record for first-day album streams by a female artist.
01:41Folklore was also the most-streamed pop album on Apple Music on its first day of release, with 35.47 million streams.
