It's time to meet the women of 'The Golden Bachelor'! ABC unveiled the 22 women who are set to compete for the heart of 71-year-old Gerry Turner, the lead of the network's highly anticipated senior dating spinoff premiering on September 28th.

00:06It's time to meet the women of The Golden Bachelor.

00:09ABC unveiled the 22 women who are set to compete for the heart of 71-year-old Gary Turner,

00:14the lead of the network's highly anticipated senior dating spinoff,

00:18premiering on September 28th.

00:20Similar to its flagship shows The Bachelor and Bachelorette,

00:23Turner will navigate dating from a pool of eligible women,

00:26but ones that are in his age group.

00:28These group of golden ladies aged 60 through 75 are taking time away from established home lives,

00:35friends, and family in the quest to rediscover love.

00:38Among them is a familiar face, mother to former Bachelor star Matt James,

00:43Patti James, who appeared on his 2021 season.

00:46Turner is a father of two and a grandfather who lost his wife of 43 years in 2017.

00:52Turner made his primetime TV debut during The Bachelorette reunion show,

00:56with fans playfully referring to him as a grand zaddy.

01:00He also expressed his hope for the show, saying,

01:03What I look for at the age of 70 is different from what I look for in high school and college,

01:07so I believe I'll find my person, the new person that will make me whole again.

01:12The Golden Bachelor and the ninth season of Bachelor in Paradise are set to air back-to-back on September 28th,

01:18moving from their traditional Monday and Tuesday slots to Thursdays.

01:21Meanwhile, The Bachelor is set to continue with its 28th season.
