00:30So let's get right to it, guys.
00:31Here's the five biggest comic book movies
00:33coming out this year.
00:35First up is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 out May 5th.
00:39Back in 2014, this ragtag group of crazies
00:42was considered a low profile property.
00:44You remember that?
00:45I'm Groot.
00:46Neither do I, baby Groot.
00:47Since then, the talking raccoon, the awesome soundtrack,
00:50the entire rocking package has ended up
00:52becoming one of Marvel's most beloved super teams.
00:55The second installment from writer-director James Gunn
00:57is adding Kurt Russell as the father
00:59to Chris Pratt's Peter Quill.
01:00In the comics, Russell's character Ego is a living planet.
01:03Now he's a living Russell.

01:07Out next on June 2nd is Wonder Woman.
01:09Patty Jenkins has stepped up to direct star Gal Gadot
01:12in the Amazonian warrior origin story, which so far has
01:15some good buzz.
01:16There's already been a series of well-received trailers
01:18building on Gadot's much-like debut in 2016's Batman v Superman
01:23Dawn of Justice.
01:24The month after that, Spider-Man is coming home.
01:27That's right, Spider-Man Homecoming is the film Marvel fans
01:30never thought would happen, but a landmark deal between Sony
01:33and Marvel allowed Peter Parker to swing right into the MCU.
01:37Tom Holland returns after his well-received introduction
01:40in Captain America Civil War and will be reunited with Robert
01:43Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Marissa Tomei playing Aunt May.
01:47Michael Keaton and Zendaya are also on board for the film, which is
01:50being directed by John Watts and said to have the aesthetics
01:53of a John Hughes 80s film.
01:54Expectations could not be higher.
01:56Now let's jump all the way to the end of the year.
01:58We're talking the third Thor installment, Thor Ragnarok,
02:01out November 3rd.
02:03Chris Hemsworth's Thor teams up with Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner
02:06slash the Hulk for a cosmic road trip.
02:09And if that's not exciting enough, the film is also
02:11directed by Taika Waititi, who has been endearing himself
02:14to the Marvel faithful with his hilarious Thor mockumentary.

02:34following the muted reception of Batman v Superman's gloomy tone.
02:38Justice League's Comic-Con trailer emphasized banter
02:41between Batman and The Flash, and other promotional materials
02:44have shown off a more fun tone.
02:46So will this be the huge win DC needs?
