Chris Pratt and Anna Faris, who got married in 2009, have announced that they are legally separating.

00:03Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are separating.
00:06The couple, who tied the knot in 2009, took to social media to make the announcement, saying,
00:11We are sad to announce we are legally separating.
00:14We tried hard for a long time and were really disappointed.
00:17Our son has two parents who love him very much, and for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.
00:24We still have love for each other, we'll always cherish our time together, and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.
00:30The couple met in 2007 when they co-starred in Take Me Home Tonight, released in 2011.
00:34They wed July 9, 2009, in Bali, Indonesia, and their son Jack is now four years old and was born in August 2012.
00:42Faris had previously been married to fellow actor Ben Indra from 2004 to 2008.
00:46Pratt recently appeared in the monster hit Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
00:50and is set to return to the Land of the Dinos for Jurassic World sequel in 2018.
00:55For her part, Faris is shooting the fifth season of the CBS sitcom Mom
00:58and voices a character in the Emoji Movie, currently in theaters.
01:02She also has a weekly podcast, Unqualified, in which she focuses on relationships.

01:12as the couple gave their social media followers a sneak peek inside the preparations for that day.
