00:00The South Coast electorate, which doesn't even take in the whole of Schollhaven, came up number one.
00:0612,600 homes remain empty across the South Coast electorate.
00:13Caitlin's really pointed out the great work that the New South Wales government is doing
00:18and the money that we're putting behind the buildings and the homes we need.
00:21But I'm really pushing for the support to keep people in their homes.
00:28It began for me many years ago.
00:31As Kate mentioned, I had a previous career in community services.
00:36I worked for Centrelin.
00:38And prior to that, I managed and did the funding and monitoring the services for aging and disability and home care.
00:44And Care South was one of my organisations that I looked after.
00:48So I've had a long history and I've seen what happens.
00:51For me, Dawn O'Hill, prior to the campaign in East Moura, where I had young women with...
01:00One woman had just got out of hospital from giving birth that day and said,
01:03I don't know where to start.
01:05And it is that cycle that we need to ensure keeps people in their homes.
01:11For the last five months, every Sunday, I have gone to the community group outside the doctor's surgery in Jumping Street.
01:19And I'm there for two hours every Sunday.
01:22And I see people that would not normally come to me for assistance.
01:27And I just say to the group of women, it's made women that they're at the same community who are amazing.
01:33And Dr. Pagari, that opens his door for free medical every Sunday.
01:37Just walk in.
01:39We are saving people one person at a time.
01:41I think it's my obligation to walk beside you.
01:46I try not to reach out to you because I know you're under the pump.
01:49But it's a shame that's on the cross.
01:52I think he drains Monday mornings because I have the phone and I have a line.
