00:00Hello and welcome to this South Australian James weather update for Monday.
00:04Welcome to summer. Welcome to our latest cold outbreak.
00:07How can you tell? Head outside and feel the wind chill.
00:10But all of this speckled cloud that is across the southeast is yet another cold outbreak.
00:15As long as the high pressure systems sit over Western Australia, we can get those come up from the south.
00:20Now, if you're after warmer weather, in fact, almost hot weather, we do have that in the future.
00:25That's coming on Wednesday and Thursday.
00:27So let's have a look at what we can expect today. By the end of Monday, high pressure is still back in through here.
00:32So we're on the cold side. This one doesn't add up to a whole lot as it moves through.
00:37So there we have during the day on Monday, the cold air working its way right up to the northern parts of New South Wales.
00:42So the fire danger is going to come to an end and the heat wave conditions are also going to come to an end until the next one skips across the country.
00:49So here we have Monday. By Tuesday, high pressure is adding through here. We are all dry.
00:54Have a look at our red lines. That is starting to bring back the walls.
00:58All right. So let's watch that as we go through Wednesday.
01:01There's our heat coming across. Here is our trough by the end of Wednesday, just in that southwest corner.
01:07So that's the cool change. Let's watch that by the end of Thursday.
01:10That is now running in through here.
01:12So we've got that cool change that has moved right across the south by later on on Thursday.
01:17So Wednesday and Thursday is when we get the heat in terms of wet weather coming with this change as it comes through.
01:23Very different to everything we've seen in the past.
01:26This one is a fairly dry change.
01:28All right. So there's Thursday.
01:30Have me a look at Friday.
01:31Just a hint of a little bit of wet weather.
01:33The heat is still just to our north.
01:35So we're going to feel a little bit of that come down.
01:37Not the extreme heat of the days earlier, but just not cold.
01:40Now, that's Friday.
01:42Have me a look at Saturday.
01:43Hey, what do you know?
01:44Our next cold outbreak is moving through.
01:46So we're going to feel that as we go across the weekend.
01:49Again, in terms of wet weather, there isn't a lot.
01:51It isn't going to add up to very much.
01:53All dry by Sunday and the high pressure system starting to move out to the east again as we move into Monday.
01:59So that heat is still there.
02:01Let's have a look at what that's going to add up to.
02:02And not a lot.
02:03The first two weeks of December are looking like they're on the dry side.
02:07So we're having a bit of a change in our weather pattern.
02:10All of our systems were connected to tropical moisture, but that connection has disappeared.
02:15And so we don't have a lot to fuel them as they come through.
02:18So it's really not adding up to very much at all.
02:20All right.
02:21So for Adelaide, about 18, 21 as we go through tomorrow.
02:25So showers passing through doesn't add up to a lot.
02:28Tomorrow is looking all dry and then temperatures jump by Wednesday.
02:31So that's when we're up in 30, 33 by here.
02:33We've got that cool change coming through during the afternoon on Thursday.
02:37Back down to 26 as we head into Friday.
02:40But then the cooler air is back across the weekend.
02:42Not quite in the teens, but we are around 20.
02:45And then it can warm up again as we go through next Monday.
02:48So the hot days this week.
02:49It is Wednesday and it is Thursday.
02:51And it is definitely not today.
02:53As always, head to Farm Online Weather for the latest.
