When 'How to Get Away With Murder' returns for its fourth season in the fall on ABC, the law student acolytes of Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) will, against all odds, be halfway through their second year of law school.

00:08Ooh, look what they made Annalise do. After our new look at the upcoming season of TGIT,

00:13set to the tune of Taylor Swift's latest single, Shondaland fans are anxiously awaiting the

00:18return of ABC's Thursday night lineup, including How To Get Away With Murder.

00:22When the show's fourth season premieres in late September, the cast of 20-somethings

00:26responsible for covering up multiple murders will be halfway done with their second year

00:31of law school. Creator Peter Nowak told The Hollywood Reporter that unlike in previous years,

00:36there's no big, life-changing event that starts off the season.

00:39Everyone's more in a normal place, probably how most of us live our lives without murders

00:44happening all the time. It's really nice just to be eased into where they are.

00:47But as any TGIT fan knows, How To Get Away With Murder always kicks off with a big question

00:53to drive the season. Like, who's under the sheet? Who killed Sam? And who shot Annalise?

00:57The creator revealed,

00:59This year the question is not a who, it's a where. It's very different than the other seasons,

01:04which is why I love it. But it's still a really great mystery.

01:07Nowak says the reveal of that question will be a major moment in the season premiere.

01:11It's still a crazy-balls, roller-coaster, what the f*** happened mystery.

01:15We'll find out that question. In fact, one of the characters will even say it by the end of the first episode.

01:21And when the Shondaland series picks up, the answers to many questions left hanging in the season 3

01:26finale will be answered. So if you're not caught up, warning, spoilers ahead.

01:30According to Nowak,

01:31Asher and Mikayla are going to be living together, Laurel will have made a decision about whether

01:36or not to have the baby, and Annalise will really have had time to breathe and say,

01:40Okay, what do I want my life to look like now that I am disgraced and starting at rock bottom?

01:45How can I build my life back from that?

01:47The creator says the premiere will also reveal whether or not Viola Davis'

01:50character, Annalise, will want to keep her students in her life now that she's no longer teaching.

01:55Does she still think that they all have to band together to protect each other?

01:59Or does she feel like it's time they all go their separate ways?

02:02There will be a major decision about that and a major shift in the show in the premiere.
