Nine-year-old, Scotland-born actress Lilly Aspell opens up about working on 'Wonder Woman,' how she’s just like her character and her future aspirations.

00:06It's no spoiler that Diana does grow up to be the fiercest among the Amazons in Wonder Woman.

00:12But thanks to Lily Aspel's spirited performance as Diana at age 8, it's easy to see the princess

00:17of Themyscira had the makings of a superhero all along. The 9-year-old Scotland-born actress

00:22opened up to The Hollywood Reporter's superhero movie destination, Heat Vision, about working

00:27on the film, how she's just like her character, and her future aspirations.

00:31So how did she prepare to play a future superhero? Lily said in an email,

00:35And according to Lily, being similar to her character made her job easier.

00:48Diana is very like me, so Patty just told me to be natural and let my own character come through.

00:53She added,

00:54I have so much admiration for Patty and I would love to work with her again someday.

00:58She really is inspirational. Agreed.

01:00Lily says she is also inspired by another wondrous woman, Gal Gadot.

01:05Gal is such a wonderful person and was very helpful. I would often watch her filming and try and listen

01:10to her accent. She told me to only act if you enjoy it, as it can really show in your performance.

01:15The day you don't enjoy it, you should stop. I'd love to be just like her when I'm older.

01:20As far as her future goes, Lily is currently in Serbia filming another movie. As a competitive equestrian,

01:26she also revealed she would love to star in a horse movie. Lily asked,

01:30Maybe there's a director out there that wants to remake National Velvet.
