00:00An Arkansas man has been arrested on suspicion of making 40 calls to CNN, in which he allegedly
00:05harassed the network and made death threats against at least one reporter.
00:0939-year-old Benjamin Craig Matthews was arrested Wednesday and booked on numerous charges,
00:15including multiple counts of felony terroristic threatening and multiple counts of misdemeanor
00:20harassing communications, according to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office. Matthews is
00:24accused of making the dozens of calls to CNN between October 31st and November 2nd.
00:30He's also accused of making calls to another unidentified TV network and to various public
00:35officials and organizations. He remains in custody with a bond set of $15,000 and will make his
00:41first court appearance on Thursday.
00:43The news comes just weeks after a man was arrested for sending explosive devices to CNN and other
00:48deemed critics of the president. It also comes shortly after President Donald Trump berated
00:53CNN's Jim Acosta during a news conference, before the White House revoked the reporter's
00:58grounds clearance.

01:03Trump has made CNN the number one target of his, quote, fake news anti-media rhetoric.
