Production on ‘Without Blood’, Angelina Jolie’s fifth feature as director and her first as part of a new pact with TV giant Fremantle is now underway.

00:00Salma Hayek-Pinot and Damien Bichir have joined the cast of Angelina Jolie's fifth directorial feature, Without Blood.

00:14Filming will take place in southern Italy with the project produced and written by Jolie,

00:18working from a script she adapted from the best-selling novel Silk.

00:23Jolie said in a statement that she was honored to be adapting the novel as a feature film,

00:27with its unique poetry and emotion and way of looking at war,

00:31and the questions it poses about what we search for after trauma or loss or injustice.

00:37Without Blood, which Jolie was first attached to back in 2017,

00:41was officially announced in March as part of a three-year international deal she signed with Fremantle

00:47that includes feature films, documentaries, and series.
