Angelina Jolie is opening up about her spilt from Brad Pitt, developing Bell’s palsy and reconciling with her father Jon Voight in a new Vanity Fair cover story.

00:09After Pitt spoke to GQ Style about the circumstances surrounding their divorce and quitting drinking

00:15in a bombshell interview, Jolie is now telling her side of the story.

00:19The actress and director swatted down rumors that the couple's globetrotting lifestyle got in the way of their marriage.

00:24She said,

00:30Jolie added of the current state of their family unit,

00:34We're all just healing from the events that led to the filing. They're not healing from the divorce.

00:39They're healing from some, from life, from things in life.

00:42She also offered this emotional quote,

00:45I was very worried about my mother growing up, a lot. I do not want my children to be worried about me.

00:50I think it's very important to cry in the shower and not in front of them.

00:54They need to know that everything's going to be alright, even when you're not sure it is.

00:58As for her relationship with Pitt and whether they're able to communicate now, she told the magazine,

01:02Jolie, who suffers from hypertension, also revealed that she had developed Bell's Palsy,

01:12a condition that causes one side of the face to droop as a result of damage to the facial nerves.

01:17She told the mag she is fully recovered thanks to acupuncture.

01:20Jolie noted of the scare,

01:23Sometimes women and families put themselves last until it manifests itself in their own health.

01:28The Unbroken director has long had a challenged relationship with her father, actor Jon Voight.

01:33The two have been estranged for some time, but she has recently welcomed him back into her life.
