Elle King got candid about her "toxic" relationship with father Rob Schneider, who she said sent her to fat camp two summers in a row. The artist stopped by Bunnie XO’s podcast 'Dumb Blonde' ahead of beginning her Baby Daddy’s Weekend Tour in September. During the conversation, the "Ex's & Oh's" singer not only opened up about having Schneider as a father but also her drunken Dolly Parton tribute at the Grand Ole Opry in January.

00:00Elle King is getting candid about her strained and quote toxic relationship with father Rob Schneider.

00:06The artist stopped by Bunny XO's podcast Dumb Blonde ahead of the start of her tour in September

00:11and during the conversation opened up about having Schneider as a father.

00:15I disagree with a lot of the things that he says and he is just I don't know you want someone to

00:20change so much and ultimately you can't control anyone else's actions. You can't control people's

00:25feelings. All you can control is how you react and what you do with your feelings.

00:29She explained that her father wasn't really involved in her life growing up

00:32and they didn't connect until she was much older. Even now King shared that her relationship with him

00:37is very ebb and flow. Right now we're not flowing. The baby daddy's weekend singer shared that he used

00:43to give her grief for her weight so much so that he sent her to quote fat camp the summer she was 11

00:48and 12. At the camp she said they would give the kids a slice of turkey and steamed vegetables for

00:53every meal and make them work out all day. So it's like very toxic and very silly. She explained that

00:59when she first got signed to a record label and released an album the actor did not appreciate

01:03when people began asking her about him. My dad called me and he was like don't talk about me in

01:09the press. Like all right okay great but also it's like get f***ed. I don't care. Like hey listen

01:14people have asked me about your f***ing ass for years and I'm like you're talking out of your

01:18a**s and you're talking s*** about drag and f***ing anti-gay rights and it's like get f***ed.

01:23She made it clear she does not agree with his thoughts on the LGBTQ community and rather

01:27believes in all forms of love. I just believe in anyone finding their happiness and their
