The move comes months after audio leaked of star Tom Cruise berating members of the crew for apparently not following COVID-19 guidelines.

00:00Filming for Mission Impossible 7 has been temporarily shut down.
00:05The latest installment has halted in the UK after at least one member of the production
00:09tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Filming on the Tom Cruise sequel will shut
00:14down for 14 days while those involved self-isolate. It's unclear how many people
00:19involved in the production tested positive. The film has had a lengthy production process
00:24that was complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Mission Impossible 7 shut down back in February of
00:292020, just as the pandemic was beginning to shutter productions across the globe.
00:34Then, in December, audio surfaced of crews berating members of the crew,
00:38who reportedly were standing too close together, violating COVID safety procedures.
00:44As of now, the film is still slated for a May 27, 2022 release.
