00:38through he ran guider jr's information through the police database confirmed an outstanding

00:43illinois forgery warrant initiated a stop and moved to arrest him unaware that guider jr was prepared

03:25He threw Officer McCarty off the hood of his speeding car, leaving this officer with such

03:30brutal injuries that he broke a vertebra and severely damaged his lower back, keeping

03:34the officer off duty for more than 15 months.

03:37Guider Jr. ditched the vehicle, stole another car, and fled to Illinois, where he was eventually

03:43apprehended, charged with serious injury by vehicle and felony eluding, and sentenced

03:47to five years in prison.

03:49Next up, a cop unknowingly pulls over a gang member and is nearly killed in the process.

03:54On July 27, 2025, in Seagoville, Texas, police officers began pursuing a Chevrolet pickup

04:08on the interstate after a records check revealed it had been reported stolen.

04:12As the high-speed chase grew more dangerous by the second, officers had no idea they were

04:17chasing 36-year-old Brandon Booth, a career criminal and street gang member with active

04:22parole violation warrants, who was determined not to go back to prison.

04:26during the run towards seeing the heroin crime scene.

06:45Booth, a convicted felon on parole with nearly two dozen mugshots in Dallas County alone.

06:51Two firearms were found in the stolen vehicle and Booth was charged with robbery, aggravated assault,

06:57unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle,

07:01and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

07:04He is currently in jail and has not yet been convicted.

07:31a former U.S. military translator in Afghanistan

07:34who had sided with American forces against the Taliban and later settled in U.S.

07:39For an expired safety inspection sticker, officers had caught Wally on a bad day

07:44as he had recently lost his job, was struggling to find work, was broke,

07:48had his driver's license suspended for unpaid fees,

07:51and could barely provide for his wife and four children.

07:54Pressure that was about to explode and be taken out on officers who were simply doing their jobs.

07:59That was a heck of a stop, sir.

11:05Wally opened fire on the officers, and, given his military experience, could likely have taken them all out.

11:11But his gun jammed before he could.

11:14One officer shot him four times, killing him, while one of Wally's rounds passed through two officers' arms, and even struck a nearby car.

11:22The officers survived.

11:24Next up, L.A. officers tried to pull over a convicted felon armed with an illegal machine gun, and were nearly blown to pieces.

11:34On July 3rd, 2024, in Los Angeles, California, L.A.P.D. officers tried to pull over 31-year-old Malcolm Darnell Gus Jr., but he refused to stop, leading them into a chase.

11:52The police, the officers pursued, unaware that Gus, a felon and career criminal, had a machine gun in the car, and was willing to use it to escape.

12:56It was a clear-cut ambush by a suspect wielding a machine gun, an illegal weapon for civilians.

13:02They called in air support, but Gus Jr. was already gone.

13:06The officers were lucky, they survived, and one officer was grazed in the head by a bullet.

13:10Gus Jr., a repeat felon with multiple prior gun convictions and prison sentences,

13:15was arrested nine days later after a massive LAPD Robbery Homicide Division manhunt.

13:21He was convicted of several serious offenses and sentenced to 162 years in state prison,

13:27a term he is very unlikely to outlive.

13:30The next case was fatal after two officers pulled over a fleeing armed robber who sped

13:35off and dragged one officer to his death.

13:40Around 11 p.m. on June 16, 2021, in Cherokee County, Georgia, a Holly Springs police sergeant

13:48requested backup from Officer Joseph Burson after stopping 29-year-old Anne C. Dolce for speeding.

13:54Neither officer knew that Dolce wasn't just a speeder, but a convicted robber from New York

13:59on parole who had cut off his GPS monitor and was already being hunted by the U.S. Marshals Service.

15:21Officer Burson's Sergeant was the worst kind of backup.

15:24stood by as a violent parolee with everything to lose if he went back to jail, sped off,

15:29and dragged Burson across the rough pavement. Officer Burson fired and struck the driver,

15:33but the car crashed in the chaos, worsening his injuries.

15:44The suspect, Dolce, collapsed from the gunshot wound that Officer Burson inflicted during the

15:50struggle and later died from his injuries. Officer Burson, who had been called in to face a violent

15:56criminal, suffered devastating injuries after being dragged for more than the length of a football

16:01field and died. He was survived by his wife, Mary-Kate Burson, his high school sweetheart,

16:07who has never been the same since that day. The sergeant faced no punishment for his inaction.
