South Delhi Fire: 3 Dead, 2 Injured in Tigri Extension Blaze; DCP Ankit Chauhan Confirms Casualties

In a tragic incident in South Delhi's Tigri Extension, a massive fire in a multi-storey building has claimed three lives. India Today's Senior Special Correspondent Arvind Ojha reports from the ground, confirming that three males died on the spot while two females sustained injuries and have been hospitalized. The blaze, which reportedly started in a shop on the ground floor around 6 PM, quickly spread to the upper floors. Quoting DCP South Ankit Chauhan, the report states, 'There was a fire in a shop downstairs and then the fire started spreading.' The Delhi Police and fire department launched a rescue operation, saving two women from the second floor. The cause of the fire remains under investigation as authorities focus on dousing the flames and ensuring resident safety.
