00:00It's unbelievable that he survived it, mentally and physically.

00:04Canoo was imported by an illegal wildlife trafficker.

00:08He was living at this kid's school in Bangkok for over 34 years.

00:12It was miserable, it was tiny. He had a horrible life in there.

00:17I had a talk with him and I told him that life was going to change from today on

00:21and it was all going to be for the better.

00:23We had to put him under anesthesia to do a medical check-up.

00:30Let the doctors get up there.

00:33On the way back from Bangkok, holding his hand while he was looking around out of the cage.

00:39It made me very emotional. Happiness, sadness.

00:43The next step to a better life for Canoo.

00:46He was actually very thankful, enjoying his new space, his new life.

00:51And it was almost as if he forgot the past.

01:05When he moved to an island, the change was amazing.

01:10The first time I saw him in the full sun, he was laying in the grass, stretching his legs and arms.

01:17I think that was one of the happiest moments.

01:20He loves it. I think he feels at home.

01:25He's overall turned into an old man that's quite happy to be where he is right now.

01:31I feel so proud that finally we were able to improve his quality of life.
