00:01Love is in the air at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
00:05It's rare to become an Olympic athlete, but it's even rarer to compete alongside your significant other.
00:12And these couples are giving a whole new meaning to the term relationship goals.
00:19This is especially true among figure skaters.
00:22A handful of them are bringing the heat as couples both on and off the ice this Olympics.
00:28For U.S. Olympians Madison Chok and Evan Bates, Beijing marked their third Olympics.
00:34Their first Olympics as a real-life couple was the 2018 PyeongChang Games.
00:40But they didn't make the podium that year.
00:43In Beijing, the couple returned as co-captains of the team.
00:47For our pre-competition little chat, we turn to each other and we always tell each other that we love each other
00:55and to just trust ourselves and trust our training.
00:59And that's exactly what we did today.
01:01On February 7th, they put on a dazzling performance in the free dance with a personal best score
01:07and helped Team USA win the silver medal in the figure skating team event.
01:11Japanese ice dancer Misato Komatsubara and her American-born husband Team Coleto first teamed up in 2016.
01:21Soon after, they began a romantic relationship and got married a year later.
01:27They're called Team Coco among their fans.
01:31The pair earned a bronze medal from the team event in Beijing.
01:35Navigating romantic relationships in the world of top-figure skating can be complicated.
01:41American ice dancer Madison Hubbell and her skating partner Zachary Donahue have been twizzling together since 2011.
01:49They dated for about two and a half years before breaking up.
01:52But the duo decided to stick together on the ice.
01:56I think more than anything, it's a testament to our partnership.
01:59We've put a lot of time into really growing as a team and as partners.
02:02Hubbell and Donahue took the top spot in the team event's rhythm dance at the Beijing Winter Games.
02:08Hubbell is now engaged to Spanish ice dancer Adrian Diaz.
02:12They began dating in 2014.
02:15Though they are a couple off the ice, they've been longtime rivals ever since they were teenagers.
02:21They will compete against each other in the ice dance category in Beijing.
02:25Regardless of how they perform in the Winter Games, all these Olympic couples have struck gold in the game of love.
