Harry Styles and Niall Horan a rounding out the tributes that have continued to pour in for their former One Direction bandmate and friend Liam Payne. Payne died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday night after local police said he fell from a hotel balcony. Buenos Aires police said Payne's fall resulted in "extremely serious injuries" and medics confirmed his death on the spot.

00:22Styles said in a touching tribute that he was devastated by the news. His greatest joy was

00:27making other people happy and it was an honor to be alongside him as he did it. Liam lived wide open

00:32with his heart on his sleeve. He had an energy for life that was infectious. He was warm, supportive

00:38and incredibly loving. The years we spent together will forever remain among the most cherished years

00:43of my life. I will miss him always, my lovely friend. Horan wrote a sweet tribute on his Instagram

00:48early Friday after Payne attended the Irishman's concert in South America just two weeks prior.

00:54He wrote, it just doesn't feel real. Liam had an energy for life and a passion for work that was

00:59infectious. He was the brightest in every room and always made everyone feel happy and secure.

01:05He continued, all the laughs we had over the years, sometimes about the simplest of things,

01:09keep coming to mind through the sadness. We got to live out our wildest dreams together and I will

01:14cherish every moment we had forever. The bond and friendship we had doesn't happen often in a

01:19lifetime. I feel so fortunate that I got to see him recently. I sadly didn't know that after saying

01:24goodbye and hugging him that evening, I would be saying goodbye forever. It's heartbreaking.

01:29Individual posts were also previously made by Zayn Malik, who said he has found himself talking out loud

01:34to Payne since his death and noting, hoping you can hear me. And Louis Tomlinson, who promised to be an

01:40uncle to Payne's seven-year-old son Bear, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole. The personal

01:45messages all followed a joint statement that was released by all four members on Thursday.

01:49One Direction was formed on the UK's X Factor in 2010 and went on to become one of the best-selling

01:55boy bands of all time, achieving hit songs including What Makes You Beautiful, Story of My Life,
