00:06and everything everywhere all at once dominates the Oscars.
00:12Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life, and Hollywood's biggest night took place last night,
00:17the Oscars, so let's talk about it.
00:19The evening kicked off with host Jimmy Kimmel obviously poking some fun at Will Smith
00:24following last year's notorious slap.
00:26The late-night comedian didn't hold back in roasting the star as he explained the new measures
00:30the Academy has taken to ensure his safety at the show.
00:34He told the star-studded crowd,
00:35Jimmy then quipped,
00:48if any of you get mad at a joke and decide you want to come up here and get jiggy with it,
00:52it's not going to be easy,
00:54before listing all of the stars that they would have to get through to get up on stage to get at him.
00:59Later in the evening, both Lady Gaga and Rihanna took to the stage for their highly anticipated performances
01:04of their Oscar-nominated songs.
01:06First, Lady Gaga, who was slated to perform last minute after originally citing a scheduling conflict,
01:12performed a stripped-down version of Hold My Hand from Top Gun.
01:16She changed out of her stunning sheer Versace gown and opted for a black t-shirt and ripped jeans for the performance.
01:22She also removed all of her bold makeup and went barefaced as she spoke to the audience about the deeply personal song.
01:29Lady Gaga told the crowd,
01:30we need a lot of love to walk through this life and we all need a hero sometimes.
01:35Later, Rihanna brought her A-game to the Oscars as she performed the nominated hit Lift Me Up from Black Panther Wakanda Forever.
01:42The pregnant superstar blew fans away as she wore a sparkling black outfit and paid tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman with the song.
01:50As Rihanna performed, her boyfriend A$AP Rocky cheered her on and raised a glass of champagne to her in a cute moment.
01:56While neither Rihanna nor Lady Gaga took home the Oscar, their performances were definitely Oscar-worthy.
02:01Another stunning performance was Lenny Kravitz's In Memoriam tribute.
02:05John Travolta introduced the segment and was visibly emotional, wiping away tears as he referenced the passing of his Grease co-star, Olivia Newton-John.
02:14He told the audience,
02:15Honoring Olivia, who passed at 73 in August 2022 after a decades-long battle with breast cancer.
02:29Lenny Kravitz went on to perform his 2004 hit, Calling All Angels, which was a beautiful tribute to those lost this past year.
02:35However, as always, some notable names were left out, including late film stars Anne Hetchie, Paul Cervino, Tony Sirico, and Cindy Williams, along with Leslie Jordan.
02:45While the Academy did share a QR code to take fans to a longer list of those lost in the industry in 2022,
02:52these film and TV stars were left out of the televised In Memoriam, and fans were not happy.
02:56To a moment everyone did agree on, Everything Everywhere All at Once took home the Best Picture Oscar,
03:01and it made for an adorable reunion on stage for Harrison Ford and Ki-Hoi Kwan.
03:07The Indiana Jones icon announced Everything Everywhere All at Once as the big winner,
03:11which brought the cast, including Ki-Hoi, up on stage.
03:15There, Harrison and Ki-Hoi shared a warm embrace, reminiscent of their moment in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom nearly four decades ago.
03:23Harrison and the former child actor both starred in the second and third installments of the Indiana Jones franchises.
03:29As many know, the Hollywood legend portrayed the role of Indiana Jones, while Ki-Hoi portrayed the character named Short Round.
03:36At last night's show, Ki-Hoi took home Best Supporting Actor, and the audience was in tears
03:42as he recalled that he had stopped acting for many decades before returning to E.A.O. last year.
03:48Everything Everywhere All at Once took home a total of seven Oscars during this show-stopping evening.
