00:00The 2014 SAG Award nominees are announced!
00:03We have Jennifer Lawrence, Breaking Bad and more!
00:07Hey guys, I'm Alayna Scantlin for ENTV and Deadline.com has the details.
00:12The SAG Awards is the big ceremony where actors get to tell us which TV shows and movies they
00:18love this year.
00:19Here are the top contenders.
00:2112 Years a Slave leads this year's awards with four nominations including one for Outstanding
00:26Performance by a Cast, which is kind of like SAG's version of Best Picture.
00:31Jennifer Lawrence's performance in this month's David O'Russell flick, American Hustle, landed
00:36her a nod for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.
00:40During the 2013 award, she took home SAG's Lead Actor trophy for a different O'Russell
00:46film, Silver Linings Playbook.
00:48Will history repeat itself?
00:50Now I have this naked statue that means that some of you even voted for me.
00:56Lawrence will compete against Lee Daniels, The Butler star Oprah Winfrey in that category.
01:01It's the media mogul's first SAG nomination ever.
01:04Other movies and actors to get some SAG recognition include Matthew McConaughey for Dallas Buyers
01:09Club, Sandra Bullock for Gravity and the late James Gandolfini for his heartfelt romantic comedy
01:14Enough Said.
01:16On the television side of things, no surprise here, the final season of Breaking Bad got the
01:20most nods with four, including one for leading man Bryan Cranston.
01:25Other shows topping the list include Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Homeland, Modern Family,
01:30The Big Bang Theory and 30 Rock with three nods each.
01:33The inclusion of Scandal star Kerry Washington in the lead actress in a drama category was
01:38a pleasant surprise, seeing as she was the only one from the cast to get some SAG love.
01:43But does she have a chance of upsetting two-time winner from Homeland, Claire Danes?
01:48So what about the snubs?
01:50Jon Hamm and the entire AMC show Mad Men got shut out this year.
01:55There was no love for Netflix's much-talked-about prison-based series Orange is the New Black
01:59either.
02:00And who was funnier than Amy Poehler on Parks and Rec?
02:04Not very many people.
02:05I'm Melaina Scantlin.
