00:00Anderson Paak drags Gold Link for his open letter to Mac Miller, plus Cardi B is worried Offset's
00:08family won't like her cooking. Hey guys, it's Devontae for Hollywood Life with your pre-turkey
00:15day hip-hop roundup, starting with rappers giving away turkeys. Slim Jimmy reportedly gave away over
00:20a thousand turkeys in his hometown in Mississippi. Megan Thee Stallion did the same thing in Houston,
00:25and 21 Savas served 300 Thanksgiving meals to the needy over in Stone Mountain, Georgia. I love
00:31starting these videos off for good news. Now moving on to some other Thanksgiving news, Cardi B opened
00:36up to People Mag and revealed she doesn't plan on cooking this year. The rapper is headed to Atlanta
00:41to spend the holiday with Offset's family, and when asked if she'll be pitching in with meal
00:45preparation, Cardi said, no, I could help mash up the potatoes, know what I'm saying. Y'all want me
00:50to peel some vegetables? I could help with that. Later in the interview, Cardi admits that if given
00:54the chance, she thinks she could make a really good mac and cheese. The rapper said, I don't play
00:59with my mac and cheese either, so I feel like if I'm going to go in and do it, I'm going to do it
01:04good. But I don't think they're going to trust me enough. But okay, let's talk about Goldlink.
01:08Yesterday, the rapper posted a photo of Mac Miller with a lengthy caption that reflects on his time
01:13touring with Mac in 2015, and accuses the late rapper of copying his And After That We Didn't Talk
01:20album. Goldlink describes Mac as being extremely supportive of the album, but then claims Mac
01:25stole the concept for the Divine Feminine. Two of Goldlink's main pieces of evidence,
01:30if you want to call it that, is Mac's lead single, featured Anderson .Paak,
01:34just like his own did, and Mac had Selection, the label Goldlink released the album under,
01:40support him on the Divine Feminine tour. As a whole, the entire post is a giant backhanded
01:45compliment to the late rapper, with Goldlink appreciating the platform Mac gave him in one
01:50sentence, but then accusing him of being a thief in the other. Twitter has been on fire this morning
01:55with many people calling Goldlink a jealous hypocrite and accusing him of stealing from
02:00Shmino and Joy Pastel. The rapper is also being dragged for waiting until Mac isn't around to defend
02:06himself to make these accusations. And fans aren't the only ones upset. Anderson .Paak,
02:11whose name was brought up twice in the post about Mac, made a lengthy post of his own,
02:15dragging Goldlink for, quote, disrespectful, narcissistic, jealous, and grossly unnecessary
02:21posts. Anderson said, in part, you ain't the first to make an album inspired by a relationship,
02:26you ain't the first to make a song featuring Anderson .Paak, but you are the first to disrespect
02:31my friend who is no longer here. He continues saying, whatever issues you had with Mac should
02:35have been addressed in person and ended there. What's the point of bringing this up after his passing and
02:40disrespecting his name? You really woke up feeling like this was the move? So far, Goldlink hasn't
02:45reacted to any of the backlash and to be honest, that might be for the best. But alright guys,
02:50hit that sub, like, and bell button, comment what you're thankful for, and then follow me
02:53on social media at Devontae Chisholm and I'll be thankful for the clout.
