00:00They say quitting drugs is hard, and that is true, but what they don't tell you is how boring it is.
00:05Saturday Night Live's Pete Davidson revealed he has borderline personality disorder
00:09during an appearance this week on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast.
00:13Explaining that he's, quote, been a pothead forever,
00:16the comedian initially believed the symptoms he was experiencing were due to his use of the drug.
00:20Around October or September last year, I started having these mental breakdowns
00:24where I would, like, freak out and then not remember what happened after.
00:28Blind rage, said Davidson.
00:30The comedian said that because of the episodes, he decided to take a break from SNL and check himself into rehab.
00:35It wasn't until another really bad episode a few months later that he cut out weed and went back to his doctors,
00:41at which point they diagnosed him.
00:43I found out I have BPD, which is borderline personality disorder, he explained.
00:47Since the diagnosis and treatment plan with new meds, Davidson says it's been tough, but he's seeing improvement.
00:53It is working slowly but surely, he said.
00:55I've been having a lot of problems. This whole year has been a nightmare.
