00:00Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez drama gets extra complicated, plus Travis Scott is getting sued.
00:08Hey guys, it's Ally for Hollywood Life with your Hip Hop Roundup, starting with a big congrats for Nicki Minaj,
00:15who landed two of her very first Latin Grammy nominations.
00:19Nicki is up for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her appearance on Carol G's Tusa.
00:24And major congrats to both ladies because that song also entered YouTube's Billion Views Club earlier this week.
00:30To Travis Scott now because the rapper is reportedly getting sued.
00:33According to Page Six, Laflame and his label are being sued by gaming company Control Freak over claims that he ripped off their thumbstick design as well as their packaging.
00:42The company claims the Cactus Jack thumbsticks have led to confusion among customers and that at one point,
00:48Trav's team allegedly tried to get Control Freak to make the product for them at no cost instead of properly licensing their design.
00:55Control Freak is suing the rapper for profits plus damages and want Trav to destroy the remaining stock.
01:01Moving on to Megan Thee Stallion because she and her friend Kelsey have reportedly unfollowed each other.
01:06Adding to this, another one of Meg's friends took to social media to call Kelsey out.
01:11Through her Instagram stories, Jaylee slams Kelsey for being silent about the incident between Meg and Tory lately.
01:17She also accuses Kelsey of taking money to keep quiet, using Kelsey's post of new jewelry to try to prove her point.
01:23Well, Kelsey caught wind of the slamming and reacted by saying,
01:26Get home, girl, to 10K. Good night, y'all. When I'm ready to speak my truth, I will. Until then, keep throwing rocks. I'm noting everything.
01:34And sticking with Meg and Tory's drama, Billboard reports that Tory's team allegedly sent several emails to media outlets this month pretending to be a rep from Megan's label.
01:44A source told the site the emails allegedly contained a fake text conversation between the rappers and a link to a report that claimed Meg did not want to testify against Tory.
01:55Adding to this, Meg's label reacted in a statement to Billboard that said they are working diligently on Megan's behalf to get to the bottom of the matter.
02:04Meanwhile, a rep for Tory denied he was the one sending the emails and told the site,
02:09We are investigating who could be sending these false emails and intend to take action against them.
02:14But alright guys, that's it for today. Make sure you hit the sub-like and bell button.
