Parker Posey chats with THR at the season three premiere of 'The White Lotus' and says being on the show was like being on 'Survivor' and 'The Amazing Race.' Plus, she says that she's not sure she'll ever watch 'The White Lotus' season three.

00:00How would you describe your character in this show?

00:03Well, I think Victoria comes into the White Lotus world in a state of grief.

00:09We don't really know that until we see her in a dream and her father's walking behind her husband.

00:16And she screams and her children are running away from her.

00:20And she's feeling like things could leave her.

00:23And she loves her children so much that she controls them.

00:28She doesn't let them.

00:30You know that book that's really popular now.

00:33And instead she sees herself in all of her children.

00:37And they represent her.

00:42She's spoiled.

00:44She's very much a woman child and a narcissist.

00:48A lot of that is due to her sensitivity and her wanting to escape, which she does through taking pills.

00:56She wishes she wasn't even on vacation.

01:00She didn't want to leave.

01:03She doesn't really know where she is.

01:05It doesn't really matter.

01:06She's with her children that are going to leave the nest soon.

01:10And one of them is making a questionable choice in wanting to discover Buddhism.

01:19And she thinks that's just terrible.

01:26A lot going on here.

01:27What did you think when you read these scripts?

01:30I've seen a couple.

01:31I've seen a couple.

01:32Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:33So I think I gave you like a Roger and Ebert kind of thing.

01:36No, great.

01:37I loved it.

01:39What did you think when you read these scripts and saw what Mike kind of wanted you to do in the show?

01:43I was so excited when I read the scripts.

01:48It was a definite ride.

01:51So well written and embodied in these characters that all of these actors are going to play.

01:59I get to picture what they're going to be like when you show up and it's a totally different thing.

02:05And so it's really exciting to act in a family.

02:10I'd never done that.

02:11So that was really cool.

02:13And you've got a good group here that you're working on.

02:15Yeah, yeah, yeah.

02:16So it came together after the strike.

02:20It was very fast.

02:23And it had the feeling of being, you know, Survivor meets The Amazing Race meets White Lotus.

02:31Like a real experience.

02:33Yeah.

02:33And yeah, those are like, those are precious, right?

02:39Totally.

02:40Yeah.

02:40How do you feel like this season compares to the first two that we've seen?

02:59Oh, are you going to watch it tonight?

03:02We've got to like you.

03:04You know, there's so many things when you get to play a part that is like, in the White

03:12Lotus world, in this mythology, what you get to show, because it is an Americana in a way.

03:20Now we know what White Lotus means now, what it is, you know, so I loved the, I love being a part of, you know, a character, actor in this.

03:37That was fun.

03:38Because I think these go into people's homes in a way that other genre things don't, and

03:47so they become part of the vernacular in your family and your friends, which is great.

03:52So it becomes like a certain eye on people and people that we know, that we've seen, and

03:59we go like, oh God, you know, so it's so fun to create those people, that person.

04:07Are you going to watch this at some point, or watch it at some point?

04:12Like blinking in the next room.

04:14Honestly, I may not watch it, you know.

04:16Could you imagine why?

04:18I just started sweating just by the question of it.

04:21It's like, I probably should, but I don't know.
