Khamenei says Trump 'not worthy' of Iran engagement

Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rejected talk of outreach to Washington, saying the Trump administration was “not worthy” of engagement.

00:24Khamenei said the United States and Israel had failed to secure any strategic gains during the 12-day war in June.

00:31The confrontation began when Israel launched an unprecedented bombing campaign against Iran

00:35and later expanded to include brief U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, followed by Iranian missile and drone attacks.

00:43He praised the strong public unity that emerged during the fighting,

00:47noting that even long-standing critics of the government rallied behind the country once the war began.

00:52Khamenei reiterated his belief that Israel's attacks were designed to weaken Iran,
