Το Ουζμπεκιστάν προωθεί την επέκταση των ΜμΕ για την ενίσχυση της οικονομικής ανάπτυξης  Οι ΜμΕ αποτελούν τις περισσότερες εγγεγραμμένες επιχειρήσεις στο Ουζμπεκιστάν και στοχεύουν να δημιουργήσουν το 55% της εθνικής οικονομίας. Οι επενδύσεις στη χρηματοδότηση, τη στήριξη των εξαγωγών και την ψηφιακή ανάπτυξη επιταχύνουν τον ρόλο τους στην απασχόληση και την περιφερειακή ανάπτυξη.
