00:42The day started with the Pope having a prayer service here behind me in the church, in the Latin Catholic Church of Holy Spirit,
00:51together with bishops, local bishops and also the cardinals who are joining him in his trip.
00:58And later on, also today, he will visit an orphanage here of the poor, established by the Catholic Church,
01:05before heading later on in the afternoon to the city of Isnik, the Turkish city of Isnik, approximately 200 kilometers away from here,
01:15which is an important site in the history of Christianity, because it is the city, its ancient name is Nikaya, where 1,700 years ago, exactly the year of 325,
01:30more than 200 bishops back then gathered to take very important decisions regarding theology and the interpretation of the Bible.
01:40Among these decisions were the decision to state that Jesus is of God, that he is of divine nature.
01:49So the Pope will travel there in the afternoon and will have an ecumenical prayer service in the city of Isnik, ancient name Nikaya,
01:58before then, later on, returning again to Istanbul and having a private meeting with bishops here in the city of Istanbul.
02:06He will stay in Turkey until Sunday morning, when he will leave Istanbul, heading towards Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon.
