In a historic spiritual gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the 800-year-old Sri Krishna Mutt in Udupi, Karnataka, to participate in the 'Laksha Kantha Gita Parayana'. Over one lakh devotees gathered to recite the Bhagavad Gita in unison. During the visit, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Suvarna Teertha Mantap and dedicated the Kanak Kavach for the sacred Kanakana Kindi. Ahead of the event, PM Modi posted on X: 'I am honored to be visiting Shri Krishna Mutt in Udupi to take part in the Lakshkant Gita Parayan program.' The event highlights the cultural significance of the Mutt, inspired by Sri Madhvacharya.
