About 7:20am on Thursday, 27 November 2025, a newborn baby was found outside the South Tuggeranong ACT Fire & Rescue Station. The baby was taken to hospital by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics. The baby had no obvious injuries, and it is estimated it was born in the last 24 hours.

00:00At approximately 20 past seven this morning, the crew from South Tuggeronong Fire Station
00:06became aware of the baby at the front door. They brought the baby inside under advice of the ACTAS
00:15clinician, took care of the baby and called ACTAS and AFP to ACT policing to come and assist.
00:24The baby was taken to hospital by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics
00:28and there were no visible injuries. It is estimated the baby was born in the last 24 hours.
00:35Police were notified shortly thereafter and our sole concern is the health and wellbeing of the mother.
00:43I urge the mother to seek medical assistance. Please go to a hospital, call an ambulance or call
00:50the police. If you are a family friend or a friend of this person that you think is the mother, please
00:57also urge them to seek medical assistance as soon as possible.
