00:04about Puerto Rico during a Trump rally over the weekend. Hinchcliffe made the remark during the
00:09Sunday night event in New York, saying, I don't know if you guys know this, but there's literally
00:14a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it's called Puerto Rico.
00:19He continued by making lewd and racist comments about Latinos, Jews, and Black people. Speaking
00:25at the Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Awards on Tuesday night, the Agatha All Along
00:30actress, who has Puerto Rican heritage, said she wanted to, quote, very quickly respond to the
00:35racist joke that was made at that Trump rally about Puerto Rico, where most of my family is from.

00:50quote me on that. Hinchcliffe's remark was immediately criticized by Kamala Harris's campaign
00:55as well as Puerto Rican stars like Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Ricky Martin, who all posted clips
01:00from Harris's campaign addressing Puerto Rican voters and sharing her plans for helping the
01:05territory. Plaza previously spoke about infusing her heritage into her characters, telling Time
01:11for its 2024 Latino Leaders Package, I have a different kind of experience than a lot of other
01:16Latinx actors because a lot of people don't even know that I'm half Puerto Rican. It's something that
01:21I always like to remind people of and bring to the table. For more on this story, head to THR.com.
