00:00In keeping with the superhero theme here, fans are now calling out to recast the late Chadwick Boseman in the upcoming Black Panther films.
00:08Recall Chadwick passed away from colon cancer in 2020 at the young age of 43.
00:12According to Boseman's brother, Derek, he told TMZ he thinks the franchise should live on,
00:18and if that means tapping another actor to portray the king of Wakanda, the role that Chadwick made famous in Legendary, then so be it.
00:26Derek also said he believes his sibling would have wanted this too, and Chadwick knew the power of the character and the positive influence it carries.
00:34There is so much power in seeing a Black King, especially in a superhero capacity like the Marvel flick.
