The network announced its plan to convene stars, producers and creators of reality TV's biggest franchises — including original MTV hits like 'The Hills' and 'Jersey Shore' — at next year's event.

00:09Big Brother, or The Real Housewives, this new convention is basically your paradise.
00:13On Tuesday, MTV announced plans to launch RealityCon.
00:16The first ever event will convene stars, producers, and creators of reality TV's biggest franchises,
00:22including original MTV hits such as The Real World, The Challenge, The Hills, and Jersey Shore, among others.
00:28Okay, hold my earrings, please.
00:31Oh yeah, this is what's up, this is what's up.
00:33But that's not all. Aside from MTV's own programming, RealityCon will welcome familiar faces from other networks' roster of reality shows.
00:41Key players from Big Brother, The Real Housewives, RuPaul's Drag Race, Survivor, Duck Dynasty, Love & Hip Hop, Mob Wives, and The Bachelor are also expected to participate.

00:56RealityCon will take place in the summer of 2020 with a soft launch this fall.
01:00According to a press release, the event will feature fan activations, performances, interviews, and roundtable discussions,
01:06exploring the genre's impact on society, representation of diversity in media, and influence on entertainment, among other topics.
