00:00It's always interesting to hear about, um, the involvement of the author when their vision is
00:05being, you know, transported. What was Colleen Hoover's involvement here?
00:10You know, very minimal. It's like, so luckily the producer that brought it to me is a guy
00:15named Brunson Green who did the help. And he's like my favorite producer I've ever worked with.
00:19Like he is awesome. And so the two producers that he worked with on this movie, Flavia and Anna,
00:24knew Colleen. And so they are in the book world and Anna, uh, wrote all those after books. So
00:30she's known Colleen for many years through that. So it's like, I was able to keep a nice sort of
00:35removed from all that. And they did that. And again, I wanted nothing, but for Colleen to love
00:40the movie, which she did, which was the biggest, like, you know, but I just, she had had such a
00:46tumultuous time on that last one. I just wanted her to have a good experience and I didn't want to,
00:50uh, inundate or bother her or vie for her affection. Uh, so I really thought about that a lot was
00:56giving her space and just going to make the movie. I didn't really need anything from her. I had the
01:01book, you know? So, um, yeah. And, uh, wonderful. I'm sure she's great, but I just wanted to kind of
01:07keep a distance from, from all that stuff.
