00:00okay I am the director of the cinema imbu imbu in the sense it's a blessing my
00:29protagonist is Balana Balana is a priest actually however he got on a technically one Android phone
00:38he doesn't know how to operate and he learned something very small bit from her his daughter
00:45then he started watching all reels and the thing and whatever the thing he doesn't know anything
00:52to operate and he is like completely knolled in the mobile and by somewhere it is he is
01:01catched in the cyber crime see this is why I am telling the technology whenever the technology
01:10comes know we have to learn it fully or else it will be in a problematic it will be in a problem
01:17it will be in a trouble like that see Balana doesn't know how to operate the mobile this
01:24mobile is a just in a symbolic it's in a technology the complete see where he is lost his job the same
01:32time other people get the job through the mobile only so those who are using properly the technology
01:38they will flourish in this culture and technology see basically in coastal Karnataka or India we
01:47have very much a rich culture is there so this culture included technology and in good terms it
01:55will be very good otherwise the culture also spoiled Balana is like a priest because of the technology
02:02Balana is finally committed suicide so there is one person from that culture a performing culture
02:09he lost his life this is what I am I just wanted to tell in in my cinema
02:15actually Balana is a very lower middle class family is leading his um is living with the daughter and
02:35a wife uh the particular one uh one particular event for whatever the priest is getting some money
02:43the gift of a person a gift of a person an android phone then because of that I can't say in the
02:53this thing and it is better my producer will be narrated I have some language problem so I'll give to
03:01my producer mr prashant rai yeah see uh the film talks about the ill effects of using mobile phones
03:15these days the first thing you know when we get up we see is the mobile and the last thing we see
03:21before we go to the bed is the mobile phone so it is it has become integral part of our life
03:29so when an uneducated man that too a priest who is held in high esteem in the society gets hold of a
03:39mobile phone his life turns upside down so he he is an uneducated man who doesn't know how to operate
03:50mobile phone so he gets into the scam and he loses his mental peace his life savings
03:59and he is pushed to the wall so this talks about how the technology can spoil a man's life
04:11you know this is happening to educated people also these days but what happens if an uneducated man
04:19gets hold of it
04:30he the balana you know he he is a priest who who guides each and everyone whoever comes to him with the
04:44problem you know he will have a solution but when he gets into a trouble you know people the society
04:52doesn't come for his support so the imbu is you know imbu means support or blessings so he blesses
05:04everybody but when he is in need of some help nobody turns up so this is the hard reality of life
05:14my director you know mr shiwadwaj shetty you know i i always find his way of storytelling very interesting
05:32you know he in 2009 itself he directed a film called gaggara which uh 2008 which won him uh national award
05:43you know he always you know uses minimal minimum lights uh you know that uh gives you the maximum impact uh
05:55uh being from uh the coastal karnataka region from uh you know place called mangalore he
06:04he doesn't he doesn't use any any extra techniques to oh you know showcase the rural landscape of
06:13mangalore
06:29see a rural in the sense that basically we born there we saw so many uh stories we heard some some
06:38events everything because i don't want to uh like research for uh particular my nativity uh events
06:48so i if any if i started writing the story you know it is involved with the culture because our coastal
06:54karnataka is very much rich in culture so always wherever you go in cultural event those who are
07:02positive participating completely you know they are all uh financially poor they are all from middle
07:10lower middle class family so those who are uh indirectly participating they're all rich directly
07:17participating as a priest or something or a person who is doing the music for that they're all like a
07:25lower middle class family the ritual will be a very rich but the people who are working for
07:32directly for that particular event they are very um lower middle class family so always i am thinking
07:39how how these people will come up uh without uh money say some some cultures are like only
07:47six months in a year and after six months that's the season after six months they doesn't have any work
07:52even they can't go to work for any other lower level like one priest can't go to a other farmer to
07:59do a farmer if he has a property then he can work it in in his property only otherwise he can't go there
08:06this is what i am telling our our native is very rich in culture and there are so many people this
08:14culture should be sustained for long time for long generation so we have to support all this kind of
08:21people who are working directly to the events
08:28definitely there will be one good message saying uh how to utilize the mobile phone whatever
08:35it is not only a mobile phone in the technology uh you have to learn deeply or thoroughly and or
08:42otherwise if you if you are using the mobile phone how much you are using just receive a call or make
08:49a call that's all there are so many people uh old people are like they only receive the calls and
08:54make a call they learned that much if you go to inside of the mobile to go to so many app applications
09:02then definitely will win without knowing proper guidance it will be in a trouble so cyber crime are
09:09like every time every day so many things are happening so when the respectful person in the society they
09:17have if they have if they have some problem you they had some problem like this damaging on their status
09:23or image then it definitely it will be in a damage for the life also
09:29yes yes
09:43okay yeah definitely uh this is my second time uh for iffi uh 2008 my cinema tulu cinema gagara was selected for
09:55for iff iff i'm so happy imbu also selected for this uh this year for iff i see our kind of cinemas are like uh uh the content will be very strong but
10:09the people which is no stars i basically i use main roles only the artist and other artists non-artists
10:18most of them are non-artists performed in my cinema and i give chance to them so it will be very difficult
10:24to me to market it for the commercial thing but definitely i'll tell you the content will be the
10:29more stronger than any other commercial cinema but this kind of cinema is getting showcased in the iffi
10:36and our cinema also selected the kolkata international film festival so very happy that our team because of my
10:43team my dop my editor everyone helped me for to do a wonderful cinema imbu now it is showcased in iffi
10:52i am thankful to iffi always thank you very much thank you
