00:00Please welcome your host, Jeanette Munraro.
00:30Hello, and welcome to your midweek edition of It Takes Two, live on BBC Two and iPlayer.
00:36The Strictly Book of 2025 is well into its latter chapters, and this is where the plot gets really juicy.
00:44This weekend, our six celebs will be dancing for a place in the quarterfinals.
00:50Who will survive? Well, that bit is still unwritten.
00:55Before all that, though, here's a novel idea.
00:58It's time to tell you what the story is tonight, and it's an absolute page-turner.
01:03They rope themselves into the Blackpool history books with the ballroom's first-ever tens for a salsa.
01:10George and Alexis are here for a debrief shortly.
01:13It's five down, one to go as far as our Christmas celebs reveal go, and we've got the final cracker to pull.
01:19Find out who it is a little later on.
01:21And it's finally here. The Pro Challenge starts tonight.
01:26Very soon, we'll be revealing who the first contender is as this lot compete for a brand-new world record.
01:33But first, speaking of contenders, on Saturday night, Balvinda achieved her dream of performing an Argentine tango in the Tower Ballroom.
01:42And what a performance it was.
01:44Monty called her the comeback queen.
01:46Luckily for us, she's come back from Blackpool to have a chat.
01:49Here's a reminder.
01:51When I was young, it seemed that life was...
01:54I loved your intensity.
01:55I loved your characterisation.
02:01I would have liked to have seen smoother weight changes and transition.
02:08But I think this style actually suits you really, really well.
02:13You were so defined. I absolutely loved that.
02:17You keep fighting, girl.
02:19Give it up for Balvinda and Julian.
02:27Oh, Bal.
02:28You dreamed of getting to dance the Argentine tango in the Blackpool Tower.
02:32You've done it now. How much did it live up to your expectations?
02:35I mean, and some.
02:37Expectations and some.
02:39I didn't think we'd get to Blackpool first thing.
02:41But to dance the Argentine tango in such a special, beautiful, kind of important place
02:48like the Tower Ballroom just felt really profound
02:54because it all sort of happened at the right time for us, you know?
02:59And it's not lost on me how hard we worked to get there for dance-offs
03:03and all that kind of stuff.
03:04All that thing.
03:05You know, but, yeah, so it meant even more to be there at that time
03:09and perform that particular dance.
03:11Yes, that's what we loved.
03:13Honestly, you were so good.
03:14And Jules, everyone has spoken about the atmosphere
03:17at the Blackpool Tower on the night.
03:18What was it like for you as a pro being there?
03:21Honestly, it's kind of hard to describe.
03:24I think the fact that there was no dance-off as well,
03:27it just meant that I felt like we were putting on a show
03:31and I've never felt, oh, I've never been in a room quite like that
03:35where, first of all, the audience was on fire.
03:38They were electric.
03:39Whoever, you know, guys who came to watch, thank you.
03:42It was absolutely cracker.
03:44And then because we had so much energy from the audience
03:48and then everyone knew that they were safe,
03:50there was just this kind of, like, not, no one was really relaxed
03:53because everyone still wants to, like, you know, give their best,
03:55but there was just this unbelievable positivity around the room
03:58and everyone was just so joyful and it just felt like a...
04:01And everybody was cheering each other on.
04:03Like, genuinely, I was there and everyone was screaming for everyone.
04:05It felt like a celebration of dance.
04:07It felt like a celebration of each other,
04:09which was just, I'll be forever grateful that we got to share that.
04:12Speaking of the dance, we need to talk about that dance
04:14because the Argentine Tangle, honestly, it was just so stunning.
04:17You were so in the zone as well, particularly in this part.
04:21Have a look.
04:24One, two.
04:25One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, seven, eight.
04:29I mean, how focused were you to make this dance be as special as it was?
04:34Well, because it was something that I really wanted to do,
04:36I had to prove to myself that I could do it.
04:38Yes.
04:39And so, you know, the kind of determination to get it right
04:43and make sure that we sort of projected that out towards the audience as well
04:47and that they enjoyed it just as much as I did was really important for me.
04:50That was a really strange section because I've been working with Jules
04:57and I feel very protected and safe with Jules
05:00and we sort of have an understanding of, you know, the language that we speak.
05:04Like, dancing with new people felt very scary.
05:08So, was that tricky for you?
05:09Because you were so used to being with Jules.
05:09It was weird for me as well.
05:11When they were like, she's going to dance with the girls, I was like, so I'm not involved?
05:15And I was watching from afar and I'm like, that's my partner.
05:18And I felt kind of protective.
05:22I was like, let me help.
05:23We're surely proud because she did so well.
05:27So immensely proud because I wanted, in that section, I said to Val,
05:30I'm like, this is your moment.
05:32Like, show everyone that you're not scared to stand next to two professional dancers.
05:37You own it.
05:37Absolutely.
05:38And you take that space and I think she absolutely did that.
05:40It was also great for the storytelling element of, you know, the gender fluids thing.
05:43Oh, yeah.
05:43I had lots of messages from EastEnders fans because obviously, you know, Sookie plays a lesbian.
05:49They were just like, this is amazing representation.
05:51This is brilliant.
05:52So, they really enjoyed it from that aspect.
05:54So, we made everybody happy.
05:55We made everybody happy, didn't we?
05:57Well, it led to your second highest scoring dance of the series.
05:59So, congratulations.
06:01And Jules, you seemed particularly delighted with the scores because this is your reaction.
06:06We got the eight.
06:08What did it mean to you to finally get your first eight from Craig and the nine?
06:11That was the one thing for me.
06:14I think I gave production a little bit of a scare because I said, shut the front door.
06:19And I think they were freaking out that I was going to say something else.
06:22But I didn't.
06:23You didn't.
06:23So, we're good.
06:24We're good.
06:25You shut the door on that rumour.
06:27Exactly, exactly.
06:27Okay, let's move on to this week.
06:29Congratulations, you are through.
06:30No eliminations.
06:30We're all happy.
06:31Because this week, you're doing a jive.
06:33Yes.
06:34And you are doing a jive to this.
06:35When it's all right and it's coming over.
06:38Right back where we started from, Maxine's Nightingale.
06:43But I will be honest, when this was revealed in the results show, you were a little bit nervous about the pace of the dance.
06:49How has it been in training then this week?
06:51Yeah, I'm still nervous about the pace.
06:52You're still nervous?
06:53Nothing's changed.
06:54It's still very fast.
06:55This is you today.
06:57It's looking good.
06:58Look at the flakes.
06:58Yes.
06:59Oh, wow.
07:00Yeah.
07:00I mean.
07:00Look at you go.
07:01How are you feeling about it?
07:02That was one run.
07:03Yeah.
07:03I mean, it sort of is there and then it isn't there, you know.
07:10So, yeah, I think my issue is that once I get the routine, then everything sort of comes.
07:16But because I don't, I'm not quite confident on what happens next, I'm still faltering quite a bit.
07:21Okay.
07:21But, yeah.
07:22It's okay.
07:23It's only Wednesday.
07:23You've still got time.
07:24Yeah.
07:25Do not panic.
07:26Jules, Shirley said here on Monday night that she thought it would be great to get a mix of swing and jive mixed in together in the choreography.
07:33Have you taken her advice?
07:34Have you done it?
07:34Yeah, we've definitely done that.
07:35Oh, good.
07:36I think in general, in terms of jive, I like a swingy jive much more.
07:41And I think as well, we always say, you know, we're storytellers first and then we're dancers.
07:46And so that doesn't change this week.
07:49And I think we really want to push the, you know, the idea that we're trying to, you know, focus on the narrative.
07:54And it's a really fun story that we're trying to tell this week.
07:57And so the choreography lends itself to that with a bit more swing elements.
08:00As well, Bao, you know, has done Charleston in the past and she nailed the Charleston.
08:04Yes, she did.
08:05So I really wanted to tap into something that was familiar as well, as well as all the stuff that isn't familiar.
08:09It looks like he's really thought about this, Bao.
08:11Absolutely.
08:11He's really thought about it.
08:12He's working to my strengths.
08:13He's working to your strengths.
08:14I love it.
08:15We're 10 weeks in.
08:16I thought I'd really start.
08:16We do need to talk, though, about the instant dance, which I know is going to happen this weekend.
08:21Have you discussed which dance you would like to get, ideally?
08:25I think Bao would like the foxtrot.
08:27I'd like the foxtrot.
08:28Okay.
08:29But Jules would quite like the samba.
08:32I would love the samba.
08:33But I'm a little bit nervous about the samba.
08:35Because I think Bao wants the foxtrot because she wants to do well.
08:39I want the samba because I would just, I think it'd just be hilarious.
08:42You just want to have fun and fly through the floor.
08:44I'm like, worst case, we're just shimmy everywhere.
08:46Well, the thing is, you've got to prepare for both.
08:48We'll see.
08:50But we can't wait to see you both on Saturday.
08:51Good luck.
08:52Let's hear it for Balvinda and Julian.
08:56Okay.
08:57This week, our couples have a real balancing act on their hands in training.
09:01How much time do you commit to your main dance?
09:04How much to your instant dance?
09:05It's a minefield.
09:06Let's see how Alex, Louis and Amber are dealing with the extra pressure.
09:13This week, we are doing the rumba.
09:15And what we're working on is a lot of transferring of weight.
09:18All the way down to the floor.
09:21Balance is something that we're constantly seeking.
09:24Now, your torso is rotated from the armpits.
09:27Ow.
09:28We have so many body parts that help us to stay in balance.
09:32We just need to use them.
09:34Your ribcage on top.
09:35Good.
09:36Start.
09:36I mean, it's easier said than done.
09:39It's getting worse.
09:40There's a lot to think about.
09:41Yes.
09:41You like that little delayed reaction there?
09:43That was good.
09:44That was good.
09:44One and two.
09:46I'm really looking forward to doing the cha-cha-cha.
09:48Apparently, I've got quite flexible hips.
09:50They're moving.
09:52Down, up, down, up.
09:55The body positioning in the cha-cha-cha, I always say you lead with your nose.
09:59That just puts your posture in the right place.
10:02Cha-cha-cha.
10:05Nice.
10:05I feel like I'm being a bit of a Christmas turkey.
10:09I love that.
10:10I love that.
10:10Exactly.
10:11It is that.
10:13Body forward, bum back.
10:15Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-cha-cha-cha-cha.
10:19The jive is a lot more complex than I anticipated.
10:27Yum.
10:28Yes, it's high energy.
10:31Your feet have to be sharp.
10:35Your legs have to be quick.
10:37It's very hard and it's very quick, but Amber is trying her hardest.
10:42Nice one.
10:43You have to be lent over slightly.
10:47One, two, three, four.
10:49It's so hard.
10:51That is so complex.
10:58Yes, it is quite complex.
11:00Still to come tonight, George and Alexis are here to reflect on Blackpool.
11:04Plus, it's the return of the Pro Challenge.
11:07But first...
11:08It's time to complete this year's Strictly Christmas special line-up.
11:14Here's a quick reminder of our festive feast so far.
11:17Goggle Boxing Day comes a day early.
11:20It's Scarlet Moffat.
11:21We could never, ever leave her off our Christmas card list.
11:25It's Melanie Black.
11:27Fury Down the Chimney Tonight.
11:29It's Jodie Ounceley.
11:31Santa Baba Slip a Sable Under the Tree.
11:34It's Babatunde Alishi.
11:35And we love a Christmas Baileys.
11:39It's Nicholas Bailey.
11:41But who is the sixth and final celebrity?
11:45Let's find out.
11:48It's...
11:48Brian McClady!
11:55How are you doing?
11:58Good.
11:59I love that you were holding your own face.
12:00That was amazing.
12:02What a line-up, Brian.
12:03It's got to be fun, huh?
12:04What a line-up.
12:05How exciting.
12:06What was your reaction like when you found out you were going to take part?
12:08I was really excited because, you know, I've been...
12:10My little daughter, Ruby, is absolutely obsessed with Strictly this year.
12:14Is she?
12:14So as soon as she comes home from school, it's back on.
12:16We watch Saturdays and Sundays every single day.
12:19So we've really got into it.
12:20And then when I got the phone call to do the Christmas special,
12:22I was like, you've got to be kidding.
12:23What about timing for that?
12:25So our household is so excited right now.
12:27They're even watching at home now.
12:28Hello, hello, familia.
12:29Hi, Ruby.
12:31Now, you have been a talent show judge on Australian Idol and Australia's Got Talent.
12:36But which judge are you hoping to impress over here?
12:40Oh, God.
12:41All of them, I would think.
12:42Yeah, that'd be good.
12:43Probably Anton, I guess.
12:47Nice.
12:47He's a golfer, so I think, you know, I could let him win in golf next time if he gives me a good score.
12:53And he's walked the shoes.
12:54He was a pro on the show for many, many years.
12:55He's brilliant, by the way.
12:56I absolutely love him.
12:57He's doing great.
12:57Craig, obviously, you know, he's very hard to impress, isn't he?
13:00So I'm not expecting much from him to...
13:02He might be having a bit of mince pie and be in a good mood.
13:05Maybe, yeah.
13:05He might be festive.
13:06Exactly.
13:07And what made you and the rest of Celebs take part?
13:09What did you make of the rest of Celebs?
13:11Sorry, taking part.
13:11What did I make of the rest of the Celebs?
13:12Yeah, yeah.
13:12I was very excited.
13:14Great to see Mel.
13:15I actually bumped into Mel the other day when we were rehearsing.
13:18So I haven't seen Mel since, like, way back in the kind of 90s pop days.
13:22So it was lovely to see her.
13:24Well, look at that line-up.
13:25I know Scarlett's supposed to be an amazing dancer.
13:27I've heard that, that she's supposed to be incredible.
13:28Oh, really?
13:29Is that a secret?
13:30I don't know.
13:31You tell me.
13:32You tell me.
13:33She's supposed to be an incredible dancer.
13:34Is she?
13:35Well, we'll all find out on Christmas Day, won't we?
13:37But I can exclusively reveal...
13:39Oh, yeah?
13:40Which Strictly Pro you're going to be dancing with.
13:43Mm-hmm.
13:43And it's Michelle!
13:48Look at her.
13:49She's amazing.
13:49What do you make of the pairing?
13:50How do you feel?
13:51Well, I've already met her, so I knew already.
13:53Yeah, yeah, yeah.
13:54We've already been rehearsing for two days.
13:56Yeah, yeah, yeah.
13:56She is brilliant.
13:59When I found out I was with Michelle, I knew...
14:01Now, I can't tell you what dance I'm doing.
14:03No, no, I'm saving that.
14:04But I'm getting a little bit older.
14:05I'm not as fit as I used to be.
14:07And when I saw it with Michelle, I know what her specialties are.
14:10Right.
14:10So I knew I was going to have some hard work ahead of me.
14:13But she is an incredible teacher, and she's been a great part of herself.
14:16So you're having a lovely time training together.
14:17Yeah, yeah, she's brilliant.
14:18Which is great.
14:18Well, you're going to be amazing.
14:19Thank you for joining us.
14:20Oh, thank you.
14:21We're going to watch you dancing on Christmas Day.
14:22Oh, I can't wait.
14:23Let's hear it for Brian McFadden.
14:24Well, now we know who'll be fighting it out for the Strictly Christmas Glitter Ball.
14:31It's on to a competition where our pros fight it out for a world record.
14:35And when it comes to drama, it really does have all the trimmings.
14:39It's the return of the Pro Challenge.
14:42Over to you, Shirley.
14:44The Strictly Pro Challenge is back.
14:47Our professional dancers are attempting to set a world record for the most samba whisks performed in 30 seconds.
14:59This year, there's a new queen in town.
15:03And I don't miss a beat.
15:08I will be joined by official adjudicator, Will Munford.
15:13The whisk can start in either direction, but must step to the side, cross behind, and replace.
15:23In order for the step to qualify, we'll be looking for a flat ball flat movement,
15:29with one foot on the floor at all times.
15:33The samba bounce is not necessarily needed on this occasion.
15:38Any mistakes and the step will be disqualified.
15:43Is this hard, son?
15:45Yeah, I lost it.
15:47Only one pro can be victorious.
15:51Welcome to the Strictly Pro Challenge 2025.
15:57Thanks to Queen Shirley for that lovely demo of the samba whisk.
16:02Right, our first contender this year is one of our longest-serving Strictly Pros now in her ninth year.
16:08They currently hold the Glitter Ball Trophy and will be looking to add a world record trophy to their trophy cabinet.
16:14We're absolutely buzzing for Diane Buswell!
16:21Yeah, boy!
16:22Oh, there's a step there, there we go!
16:29Oh, wow!
16:33Diane Buswell, everybody!
16:34Talk about a fighter!
16:36Oh, yeah!
16:36Oh, cool!
16:37What you doing?
16:38What you doing?
16:38What you doing?
16:38What you doing?
16:40Sorry, I feel like I've known you my whole life.
16:42We can do that live on air.
16:43Do it.
16:43When it comes to the pro challenge, though, you've just been about everywhere on the leaderboard.
16:48I have.
16:48Except the top.
16:49I know, what's that all about?
16:50What would it mean to finally win one?
16:51Well, listen, Jeanette, the fact that I'm here first has not given me much hope.
16:56So, it would be great to win it, but I'm not that hopeful.
17:00Well, listen, you are, though, however, the first pro to do the Strictly Pro Challenge.
17:03Yes.
17:04Pregnant.
17:05I am.
17:05Which is lovely.
17:06So, if you win, will you share the world record with your baby?
17:09Oh, of course.
17:10I mean, listen, mate, what is mine is yours, but if we lose, it's all your fault because
17:16you weighed me down, all right?
17:18Speaks the truth.
17:19Speaks the truth.
17:20So near the truth.
17:21Well, listen, enough small talk.
17:23Let's see how you got on this year.
17:24Oh, gosh.
17:25All right, let's go.
17:26Come on.
17:28I'm not just dancing for me.
17:30I'm dancing for me and baby.
17:33I can feel him in there whisking away.
17:36Probably does a better whisk than me at this point.
17:38We can do this.
17:42Oh, Miss Shirley.
17:44I miss Diane.
17:45How are you doing?
17:46I'm good, thank you.
17:48Are you excited for this Samba Challenge?
17:50I'm very excited.
17:51I hope I do you proud.
17:53Now, I'm telling you, if you win this challenge, little fella in there will have a little record
17:58going on, won't it?
17:59Already?
17:59Because there's two of you.
18:00Is he awake?
18:01Is he sleeping?
18:02He was having a little kick before, so I reckon he's going to try and help me.
18:06Please, Diane, take centre stage.
18:09This is an official attempt.
18:12In three, two, one, go.
18:17There you go.
18:18Doing good.
18:20Oh, we've got nice rotation going on there in your body as well.
18:23Keep it moving.
18:27How's those legs feeling?
18:28Good.
18:3015 seconds.
18:32Doing good, doing good.
18:33Keep it up.
18:33Keep it up.
18:37We've got some rhythm going on here.
18:39Wow.
18:40Five, four, three, two, one, stop.
18:47Woo!
18:48I felt like I was doing a bit of a tap dance.
18:50I was trying to get ball flat.
18:52Ball flat.
18:54But it was good.
18:55I loved it.
18:55Well, you don't sound too winded, so I think that you were carrying your weight in exactly
18:59the right place, so maybe baby did help there.
19:01I think so.
19:02Well done to you.
19:04Thank you, Shirley.
19:04Mwah.
19:05Thank you so much.
19:06Come on, we got this.
19:07I loved every second of it.
19:14We loved every second of it.
19:17Technically, I had four feet doing it.
19:20That's a record in itself.
19:25All right, Di, so watching it back, did it look like a tap dance to you?
19:30You know what?
19:30Actually, technically, I'm not too...
19:33That wasn't too shabby.
19:34However, I was going, come on, Di, pick up your pace.
19:37It looked a bit slow to me.
19:38Do you think it was slow?
19:39It didn't look fast.
19:40It really did say that you didn't even look winded, though, so that's a good thing.
19:43I was winded, Jeanette.
19:44Oh, you were?
19:45I was struggling, let me tell you.
19:48Really?
19:49So it wasn't one of your easiest challenges in the last nine years?
19:51No, it was quite difficult.
19:53It really was.
19:53It was getting that ball flat down and...
19:56I mean, Shirley was there.
19:57You can't really go there and not do technique, you know?
20:00She's looking you at the eye.
20:02You're like, ah!
20:03So, yeah, it was a bit of pressure, not going to lie.
20:05Okay, well, right.
20:06The steps have been counted.
20:08Okay.
20:08The results are in.
20:10Yep.
20:10After each of the professionals made their attempt, the footage was watched back by adjudicators
20:15in slow motion to verify every single step to make sure they were accurate.
20:22Diane.
20:22Yes.
20:23I can reveal...
20:24Oh, go on.
20:25That in 30 seconds, you completed...
20:2739 steps.
20:35Oh!
20:3739!
20:38Yes.
20:38However...
20:39Hang on a minute.
20:41Hang on a minute.
20:42Yep.
20:42Were there any disqualifications?
20:44I can reveal that this year you had...
20:4837 disqualified.
20:56What?
20:5937!
20:59Sorry, Di, that gives you a total of two.
21:04But it does point you at the top of the leaderboard.
21:07I mean...
21:07I'm so confused.
21:09What did I do wrong?
21:10You are currently the only person on the leaderboard, so I apologize.
21:12But listen, take a photo of that.
21:13Keep it in your heart.
21:14Oh, my gosh.
21:16How did that happen?
21:17Well, it was watched in slow motion by the adjudicators.
21:22I thought it was great.
21:22Oh, that technique is great.
21:24But, Di, do you think you can hold on to that?
21:26I mean, for a day I can.
21:28Yeah, for sure.
21:29Who have you got your eye on?
21:30Who do you reckon?
21:32Anyone else but me, obviously.
21:36Well, maybe the second heel flat wasn't the one going down.
21:38I don't know.
21:39We'll find out.
21:39I feel like I was definitely...
21:41But listen, it's...
21:42Can I have a chat with them?
21:43It's all about the taking part.
21:45It's not, Jeannette.
21:46It's really not, all right?
21:47Well, we'll find out who can beat you.
21:48Let's see.
21:49Let's hear it for this year's first challenger, Diane.
21:54I'm sorry.
21:56Right, it's time for my final couple of this evening.
21:59And although he may not know how to feel about being part of Blackpool history,
22:03George is now Tower Ballroom Royalty.
22:10Salsa King George the First.
22:17A new George with a fantastic vibe.
22:20You had to keep everybody else on time.
22:23You did it immaculately.
22:24That's your best stance so far.
22:26Your hips were swinging, darling.
22:30Those lifts were absolutely incredible.
22:33You are the true star.
22:37George, this is how you set down Blackpool!
22:44Give it up for George and Alexis.
22:47Right, before we get into it,
22:48you got your first 10s of the series
22:50and the first ever Blackpool Salsa 10s!
22:58Do you like the Salsa fan?
22:59It's my first favourite.
23:00Have you come down from the high of Saturday night yet, George?
23:03Um, I don't know.
23:04I feel like this has reignited it.
23:05Yeah!
23:06Stop it, guys.
23:07Tell me again.
23:08But Alexis, George has been criticised in the recent weeks
23:12for not really fully letting go when he's dancing.
23:15How much of a turning point do you think this dance was for him?
23:18I feel like it was definitely his biggest turning point.
23:21And it wasn't just the show itself,
23:23it was all throughout the rehearsal days as well.
23:25I really sensed a shift.
23:27I feel like he just let go of the pressure putting on himself
23:30and just really enjoyed every day
23:32and had fun with it.
23:33We also made sure that he did a bunch of sound effects
23:36during the dance
23:37because we find that he does better when he makes sound.
23:40Right.
23:41I really, I did, I realised
23:42when they released the hidden mic thing,
23:44I didn't shut up.
23:46No.
23:47I really just...
23:48Well, I would say that as a note to him.
23:50He would be silent and I'm like,
23:51George, make some sound.
23:52Say something.
23:53But it helps.
23:53It really did.
23:54It does help.
23:55But also, George,
23:56there was a move that we've seen before
23:58come up that came up in the salsa.
24:00And you did this move way back in the beginning,
24:02right at the start.
24:03You brought it back.
24:04Oh, in the exact same jacket and trousers as well.
24:06That's embarrassing.
24:07So tell me about the move.
24:08Where did it come from?
24:09Why'd you bring it back?
24:10Nostalgia?
24:11I don't know.
24:11My great-granddad used to do it.
24:13It's gone through generations.
24:15No, I really don't know why I did that.
24:17They said in the VT,
24:18well, they said in the opening VT,
24:21have you got any special moves?
24:22I was like,
24:22I really realised,
24:25I don't dance.
24:26Right.
24:26So I was like,
24:26oh, sure, I'll just pop a hip, I guess.
24:28I'm not going to lie.
24:29When I watched that little move,
24:30it made me smile so much.
24:31Because I was like,
24:32he is loving himself.
24:33I had the best time.
24:34You did close the show.
24:35Very exciting,
24:36always to close the show.
24:37And it was the first time you closed the show.
24:38Also, you had the luxury of knowing
24:40that there wasn't going to be
24:40any eliminations going on as well.
24:43Alexis,
24:43do you think that had an impact
24:44on your performance?
24:46To a degree, yes.
24:47I feel like we definitely were still nervous
24:50more than ever going into the dance.
24:51if that doesn't change.
24:52I think what changed the most
24:54about knowing that there wasn't an elimination
24:55was that we didn't end the show
24:58on a sad note.
24:59Right.
25:00You know,
25:00because I feel like we ended on a happy note
25:02and there was just light in the room.
25:04But yeah,
25:05we both were still very nervous
25:06going into it.
25:07I know,
25:07and closing the show.
25:08That didn't change.
25:08Closing the show puts my shot in.
25:10Especially when it was such a good show.
25:12Everybody was like on their A game.
25:14It was an incredible show.
25:15And then they're like,
25:15come on then,
25:16try and end that.
25:18Sure, okay,
25:19I'll give it a good go.
25:19But you did it,
25:20and you did it well,
25:20George.
25:21Just saying.
25:22But there was also a group number
25:23that you haven't been doing group numbers
25:25since week one
25:26was the last time
25:26you did a group number.
25:28Kaz Carney posted this
25:29on socials of the two of you,
25:30having a little practice
25:31with Luba,
25:32helping you out as well.
25:33Tragedy.
25:34And I had,
25:34and had,
25:35and had,
25:36and walk,
25:37and I walked,
25:38walk,
25:39and I walked,
25:40but was it nice
25:42being a part of the team again
25:43with everyone?
25:44Yeah,
25:44no,
25:45it's,
25:45I mean,
25:46we realized this
25:46when we were sort of training,
25:48that actually had training behind it.
25:49I don't know if people were,
25:50we did practice.
25:52Yeah.
25:53Yeah,
25:53when we were doing this sort of,
25:55like,
25:55rehearsal for that,
25:56we realized
25:56we haven't actually had a chance
25:57where we can all just sit down
25:58and just chat
25:59because we've all,
25:59we all sort of cross paths,
26:01but we've all got our own,
26:02like,
26:02routines where we're cross,
26:04so it was the first time
26:04we had,
26:05like,
26:0540,
26:0550 minutes
26:06to just sit down
26:07and just chat.
26:07And you're like,
26:08why not do a bit of steps
26:09while we do that as well?
26:10Lovely.
26:10Yeah.
26:11Well,
26:11it's going to be another busy week
26:12again,
26:13because you're going to be dancing
26:14the quick step to this.
26:16Yeah,
26:16I get a kick.
26:18I get a kick out of you,
26:20Frank Sinatra.
26:22George,
26:22it's a classic ballroom dance,
26:24classic ballroom song.
26:26How much of a kick
26:27are you getting out of the dance
26:28in the week?
26:28I'm really enjoying it.
26:29It's weird
26:30because it's a completely different
26:31sort of vibe from last week.
26:33And this is your yesterday.
26:34This is looking really,
26:35look at that frame.
26:36Stop it.
26:37Are you enjoying it?
26:38I am,
26:39yeah,
26:39despite the fact that
26:39there's less of a smile
26:40on that face this time.
26:42He's locked in.
26:43I really,
26:43I'm jumping for joy.
26:46No,
26:47I am having a really good time.
26:48I think
26:48I'm trying to keep
26:50the same vibe of last week
26:52of,
26:53hey,
26:53just have a,
26:54and we,
26:54we were going to end
26:56on whatever run we did
26:58earlier.
26:59Yes.
26:59And then Julian came in
27:00and I was like,
27:01hey, Jules,
27:01check this out.
27:02And then was just
27:03being an idiot.
27:04And it was the best one we did.
27:05But it was the best time you did it.
27:06Really?
27:06So I think
27:07I just need to be an idiot.
27:09Okay.
27:09I mean,
27:10I've never heard
27:10dance described that way before.
27:11I'll be honest,
27:12I've never taken
27:12that approach
27:13with someone before,
27:14but it works with them.
27:15Okay,
27:15well,
27:15listen,
27:16speaking of idiot,
27:17we've got this thing
27:18coming up called
27:18the instant dance.
27:19Yes.
27:20And you said
27:20you don't want
27:20to take yourself seriously,
27:21that you want to have
27:22a bit of fun
27:22and just enjoy it,
27:23right?
27:23Yeah.
27:24Not stress yourself out,
27:25like you just said,
27:25for the quick step as well.
27:27Have you had a think,
27:28though,
27:28about the outfits
27:29that you want to wear?
27:30I,
27:30my thought process is
27:32that's the one part.
27:33Well,
27:33don't worry,
27:34we've got you
27:34some support
27:35because we know
27:36that some of these
27:36will definitely be
27:37lying around somewhere backstage
27:38and they might be a possibility.
27:39First one up is
27:41an outfit won by
27:43Radio 2 presenter
27:44Scott Mills.
27:45Here we go.
27:46A crab.
27:47Oh,
27:47okay.
27:48That works.
27:49We've also got
27:50this one from
27:51Richie Anderson.
27:52Richie Anderson.
27:53Yep,
27:53tomorrow.
27:54Okay.
27:54Yeah.
27:55We've also got
27:57maybe this one,
27:58classic from Max George.
28:00Yep,
28:00Homer Simpson.
28:01Oh.
28:01Any favorites?
28:02I feel sorry for Diane,
28:03that's disgusting.
28:04What do you reckon?
28:04My head looks huge there.
28:06I think we need
28:06all of them on the rack.
28:08Let's put all of them
28:09together.
28:09Yes.
28:10Yes.
28:10I want that wig.
28:12You want the wig.
28:13How are you feeling
28:13about the instant dance though?
28:15Uh,
28:16we tried a little today.
28:17Yes.
28:18I feel worse.
28:19Yes.
28:20But listen,
28:21don't worry
28:21because just to clarify,
28:22you won't actually be wearing
28:23any of those outfits
28:24on Saturday
28:25but we just wanted you
28:26to have a look,
28:27let loose
28:28and enjoy yourselves a bit.
28:29Good luck.
28:31I'm excited to see
28:32what you guys come up with
28:33on Saturday night.
28:34Let's hear it for
28:34George and Alexis.
28:38That's it for tonight.
28:39What a packed show.
28:40Thanks to all my guests.
28:41I'm back tomorrow
28:42when Vicky Gill
28:42is in the house
28:43to look ahead
28:44to this Saturday's outfit
28:45and we'll be taking
28:46a final trip
28:46to the ballroom
28:47to see how the rest
28:48of our couples
28:48are getting on.
