Amy Adams joins the cast of Universal's adaptation of the musical 'Dear Evan Hansen,' Paul Mescal has landed a role in Maggie Gyllenhaal's directorial debut 'The Lost Daughter' and Disney wins a bidding war for an adventure film by John Whittington.

00:35role in Maggie Gyllenhaal's directorial debut, The Lost Daughter. The project stars Oscar-winning
00:40actress Olivia Colman. The cast also includes Jesse Buckley, Dakota Johnson, and Peter Sarsgaard.
00:46While The Lost Daughter will mark Mescol's feature film debut, he has extensive stage credits.
00:51And Disney has come out on top of a bidding war to pick up an untitled high-concept pitch from
