Get ready to return to Genovia! Disney is moving forward with 'The Princess Diaries 3.' The studio has hired Adele Lim to direct the feature. Lim directed and co-wrote 'Joy Ride,' as well as co-wrote 'Crazy Rich Asians.' Anne Hathaway, who starred as Mia Thermopolis in the 2001 hit and its 2004 sequel, is expected to return although there is currently no deal in place.

00:37tenets of female power, joy, and mentorship with audiences worldwide. Gary Marshall directed the
00:42original film, which adapted the book of the same name. It told the story of a teenage girl who
00:47discovers she is the heir to the throne of a European nation named Genovia. Julie Andrews
00:52played Mia's grandmother, the Queen of Genovia, in the movie. Back in April, Hathaway gave
00:57an update on The Princess Diaries 3 during an interview with V Magazine. She said,
01:02We're in a good place. That's all I can say. There's nothing to announce yet, but we're in a
