Selena Gomez shared a vulnerable video on her Instagram stories crying over the deportation of undocumented immigrants under President Trump's aggressive new policy. The Mexican-American actress posted the video early Monday. The 'Only Murders in the Building' star's message was met with immediate backlash among Trump supporters. She later deleted the video and posted this Instagram story that read, "Apparently it's not OK to show empathy for people," which has also since been deleted.

00:48According to Fox News, ICE agents and their partners conducted nationwide roundups

00:52of more than 1,200 undocumented immigrants over the weekend.

00:56Gomez has been an immigration advocate in the past,

00:59previously writing an essay on the subject for Time magazine

01:01and producing a 2019 documentary for Netflix called Living Undocumented.
