00:00Chickens love music. She's very comfortable sitting up there.

00:07Once you pick her up and start playing for her, she calms down a lot.

00:12She gets comfy. She even takes a nap sometimes up there.

00:16Our tables will be empty. Fields would sit there.

00:20We need to thank the Lord for the farmer.

00:24When she was young, she would jump on my shoulder and my head when I came in with the banjo.

00:32Since she's older now, my little brother, Eli, will ask her.

00:36Hi, Grace. Want me to do a picking with the chicken today?

00:52She's experiencing joy. She's definitely becoming very calm.

00:57And it's very soothing to her.

01:00Grace is five years old.

01:03She is one of my original chickens.

01:06I knew I would love my chickens. They would be my pets.

01:09But I didn't think I would get such a bond.

01:13My bond with Grace is something special.

01:17Grace and me have been through a lot of things.

01:20She and I have seen a lot of my chickens pass away.

01:23She's always there to help comfort me and be there by my side.

01:28Even though she's a senior citizen now, I still go in there and hold her and give her treats and play for her.

01:34And I feel like every single time we do a picking with a chicken, our bond strengthens just a little bit more.

01:40I really feel free when I'm playing with her.

01:43I can be with her and love on her and no matter what, we're gonna be friends and love each other.
