Kevin Spacey is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement award. On July 21, the two-time Oscar-winning actor will be honored with Italy's Nations Award for Lifetime Achievement at a special gala in Taormina in Sicily. At the event, Spacey is also set to give an onstage performance at Taormina's historic Greek Theatre. Organizers of the event noted that the Oscar-winning actor, who faces a new civil trial in the U.K. on sexual assault allegations, "unquestionably deserves the chance to get his career back."

00:04On July 21st, the two-time Oscar-winning actor will be honored with Italy's Nations Award for Lifetime Achievement

00:10at a special gala in Tormina in Sicily.

00:14At the event, Spacey is also set to give an onstage performance at Tormina's historic Greek Theatre.

00:19Organizers of the event noted that the Oscar-winning actor, who faces a new civil trial in the UK on sexual assault allegations,

00:26quote, unquestionably deserves the chance to get his career back.

00:30In recent years, the disgraced actor has been at the center of multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against him.

00:36Spacey has always denied all criminal charges and was found not guilty in sexual assault trials in the US,

00:42but still faces a civil trial in Britain.

00:44A recent Channel 4 documentary, Spacey Unmasked, resurfaced the allegations against him

00:49and shone a new light on other alleged abuse.

00:52The actor fired back, denying the new allegations and saying he, quote,

00:56would no longer be speechless.

00:58Italy, however, has continued to support him.

01:00In 2022, Italy's National Museum of Cinema invited Spacey to give a masterclass

01:05and celebrated his big-screen comeback with a role in the Italian feature
