00:05for all the wrong reasons.

00:07From a controversial adult tape to assorted legal woes, Montana Fishburne's admitted aspirations

00:12for Kim Kardashian-style success have turned tragic instead.

00:16Let's take a closer look.

00:19When Montana made headlines in 2010 for breaking into the entertainment industry, it probably

00:24wasn't what her Oscar-nominated dad had in mind.

00:26Montana told The Hollywood Reporter,

00:28"...after I turned 18, I started to seriously think about the best way for me to enter

00:32the business.

00:33I was impressed with Kim Kardashian's success after her tape was released by Vivid and decided

00:37to call a company to see if I could arrange a meeting."

00:40The result was a video called Montana Fishburne in A-List Daughter Makes Her XXX Debut.

00:46Over the years, Kardashian has said that she regrets her sex tape.

00:49"...I'm definitely not grateful for that experience.

00:51I would say if I had one regret, that would be it."

00:54But Montana is proud of hers.

00:56She told People,

00:57"...being in an adult film is not a big deal to me.

00:59It's something I always wanted to do.

01:01I have always been comfortable in my body and with my sexuality."

01:05Montana was comfortable with her choice, but she told The Hollywood Reporter that her parents

01:18"...essentially, I hope my father will be proud of me."

01:20"...we are two separate people, and I think because he's had such a long, successful career,

01:26and he is so respected, my actions should have nothing to do with him."

01:30According to TMZ, Montana was charged with battery because she allegedly, quote,

01:35"...beat the hell out of her boyfriend's ex in 2010."

01:38E! News reported that Montana was arrested for breaking into the victim's home and beating

01:42her up.

01:43According to Today, Montana was represented by celebrity attorney Sean Hawley, who has

01:47overseen cases for Lindsay Lohan, Justin Bieber, and Kanye West.

01:51She pleaded no contests to assault with a deadly weapon and trespassing.

01:55She was reportedly ordered to pay $9,000 in restitution to the victim, placed on three

01:59years' probation, and sentenced to 90 days in jail.

02:03Sadly, Montana's filmography also includes a DUI arrest video.

02:08According to the Miami Herald, she was pulled over in March 2017 in Fort Lauderdale,

02:13Florida, after she allegedly rear-ended a vehicle that had slowed down to avoid a previous crash.

02:19After Florida Highway Patrol arrived to the scene, Montana hopped the interstate's guard

02:23rail to pop a squat as traffic whizzed by.

02:26The Miami Herald reported that Montana blew more than twice Florida's legal limit in a

02:31breathalyzer test.

02:32She never dropped her famous dad's name, but she did try to work her charm, reportedly telling

02:36the trooper,

02:37Honestly, I'm more upset about not being able to spend the night in my bed, can't you just

02:41escort me home?

02:43Laurence Fishburne has a signature cadence that speaks volumes on screen, but when it

02:48comes to Montana, he's often at a loss for words.

02:51In an interview with Hip Hollywood, the star dodged questions about his daughter's lifestyle.

02:55I don't know, I don't know, I haven't heard.

02:57Montana told TMZ that her famous father wasn't interested in talking to her, either.

03:06She claimed he told her,

03:07I'm not going to speak with you till you turn your life around.

03:10Regarding her adult tape, he allegedly told her,

03:12You used your last name.

03:14No one uses their real name in porn.

03:17Some of Laurence's acting peers have lent their support to his family, including Cedric

03:22It's unfortunate, you know what I'm saying, because you want your children, you only want
