At the 'Sinners' premiere in New York, Wunmi Mosaku describes how this film is different from other vampire horror movies and how music plays a pivotal role. Plus, she reveals her hopes for the 'Time Variance Authority' in the future of the MCU.

00:00Congratulations on this film. Everyone's so excited about it. I know Ryan Coogler himself

00:05said that this is much more than a vampire horror. So how would you describe the film

00:10and the elements at play? I feel like it's a film that is rooted in community, love,

00:20music, inspiration, ancestry, hope, and then also vampires.

00:26Well, I heard it's also a part musical. How does that come into play?

00:31There's blues music. Throughout the whole movie, we meet a young Sammy played by a Miles

00:40Catten who was inspired and just desperate to be a musician and a blues musician. And

00:48he has the gift. He has the talent. He has it. And yeah, I think it's...

00:56The music is a character in itself, you know?

00:59Were you able to have music as part of your character? Did you have a little singing in

01:04there?

01:05I don't sing in it, no. I wish I did.

01:08I know some of the other cast was talking about some of the numbers that they had, but

01:11okay, maybe in the sequel, perhaps.

01:16Maybe.

01:17I love that. Well, I know I said that this is much more than just a vampire horror, but

01:22there's obviously a lot of iconic vampire movies throughout cinema. What was one that

01:26really changed the game for you?

01:29Okay, I'm not really a vampire movie fan, but I can tell you a vampire movie I watched

01:33that I really liked was let the right one in, the original one, the European one. I don't

01:39know which country it was, but I don't want... That's probably the only one plus Sinners that

01:43I've ever watched.

01:45Finally, I did want to talk about the TVA. The TVA made an appearance in Deadpool and

01:49Wolverine. What are your hopes for them in the MCU in the future, maybe an appearance in

01:55the Avengers?

01:55I have no idea what they have planned for the TVA. My hope is that they come back.
