00:00The Biden administration allegedly pressured U.S. airports to house migrants despite warnings that
00:05it could compromise safety and put travelers at risk. This is all according to a new report
00:09from the Senate Commerce Committee. The report alleges that the White House directed the
00:13Department of Transportation, the FAA, and other federal agencies to find airport facilities that
00:19could serve as both shelters and processing centers for migrants. Emails cited in the report
00:25show concern among staff, with one DOT worker writing, quote, yikes, this is definitely Fox
00:31News fodder in the making. Boston's Logan Airport was a key example in the report. It's run by Mass
00:37Port, which warned the feds, quote, we are not designed or resourced to manage the intake of
00:42migrant populations. This would create a host of unintended safety and security consequences.
00:47Despite that warning, the report says Logan hosted about 350 migrants overnight in one of its terminals
00:53and then had to spend $779,000 in security, cleaning, and transportation in order to do
00:59it. At Chicago's O'Hare, as many as 900 migrants were sheltered in a shuttle terminal, and police
01:05say they logged 329 service calls and 26 arrests during their stay.
