Shakira asserts ‘full innocence’ in scathing response to $14m Spanish tax fraud case.

00:00The singer appears to not be backing down as she hit back at Spanish authorities and called the case against her a total sham.
00:06According to a statement from her legal team shared with Daily Mail,
00:09Shakira declared her innocence while accusing authorities of having no solid evidence against her.
00:14This same day, the Hips Don't Lie songstress filed legal documents in her defense
00:18and claimed that she was not a full-time resident of the country from 2012 to 2014
00:23and therefore she is exempt from having to pay income taxes.
00:27In addition to this, TMZ is reporting that according to Spanish law,
00:30Shakira would be required to pay taxes if she spent 183 days or more there in a single year.
00:36We're just going to have to wait and see how this all plays out for the former Voice star.
