Netflix is giving Stranger Things the kind of send-off usually reserved for blockbuster films.

Ahead of the show’s fifth and final season, thousands of fans joined a “One Last Ride” bike event in Los Angeles — a nostalgic nod to the iconic bikes from Hawkins.

The farewell rollout also includes the biggest merchandising push in Netflix history: from Demogorgon Crunch cereal and ‘80s-style Gatorade to Care Bears crossovers, Eggo products, Casio watches, Crocs, and more. Global activations include a Hawkins Christmas Market in Paris, immersive fan experiences, and dedicated Stranger Things zones in Netflix Houses worldwide.

Producers and cast teased the final season — with staggered episode releases across Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve — plus future projects like an animated series and a live-action spinoff set in the Stranger Things universe.
Fans who grew up with the series say this moment feels like the end of an era.

00:00We stay true to ourselves.
00:27Stay true to our friends.
00:52I like the show just because I grew up just like my dad always playing like 80s music
00:59and just growing up in that environment.
01:00So really having a TV show centered on that, like it's just really like fun for me to have.
01:06I'm 21.
01:07So the season started when I was about sixth grade.
01:09So I was the same age as the characters when it started.
01:12So it's definitely been a huge part of my life.
01:14I'm hoping that it's not final, but I feel like there might be like a little cliffhanger,
01:21but I feel like Stranger Things is coming to its end, and I'm excited for it to have its final straw.
01:28I'm just seeing how everything wraps up.
01:30Like, is it actually going to wrap up?
01:32Are we going to get left with like a little bit of a cliffhanger?
01:34It's like this is the end, or is it?
01:36I know that's a popular thing nowadays.
02:06Sean, go straight up.
02:30Sean, go straight up.
02:32I mean, I suppose anything's possible,
02:39and I'm not allowed to talk about any of those possibilities quite yet.
02:43But it's a rich world.
02:45It's a rich tapestry of mythology.
02:47But I'll say this.
02:49We're never going to repeat ourselves.
02:51The lack of complacency that the brothers and I share,
02:54the desire to push ourselves and give audiences new experiences, that's bedrock.
03:01Well, there's an animated show.
03:13That'll sort of be the first thing out of the gate.
03:16There'll be more information about that soon.
03:17But that one is very, very cool.
03:20Because I remember, you know, when we were kids,
03:23we loved Ghostbusters, but we loved the real Ghostbusters as well.
03:27And so it's fun to do that.
03:29And also, the kids, we can bring them back in time.
03:32You know, it takes place, you know, after season two.
03:36So it's sort of, it's fun to sort of revisit that time period and that age with the kids.
03:40Right here.
03:41Right here, guys.
03:42Rock and Matt right here, guys.
03:43Yeah.
03:44Rock and Matt right here.
03:46Gentlemen on the left.
03:48Left side.
03:49Left side.
03:50And then, gentlemen, one more left.
03:52The live action spinoff is something, it's early, but we've been working on it with a
03:58very amazing group of people that we can't talk about yet, but soon.
04:03And again, it's not a continuation of the story of Hawkins or these characters,
04:08but it's still in the universe of Stranger Things.
04:10It still connects, but it's very much its own thing with its new characters,
04:14a new mythology, and I don't know.
04:17It's an idea we've had for many years, and we're just, once we started to work on it
04:22this year, we just got so excited.
04:25So that's sort of, those are the next two things coming up.
04:29I'm pretty excited.
04:57I mean, I didn't really know too much about it, but anything here in your things,
05:01I'm looking forward to.
05:04I'm a person who's not really excited about that, just because, honestly,
05:08sometimes things are just better left off as is.
05:11Like, you know, fan-made stuff, go for it.
05:13They pour their love into it, you know.
05:16They develop it a lot, but other than that, like, animation, comics, and I don't know.
05:21I get a little fishy about that.
05:22William, you are going to help me.
05:42One last time.
05:51You are going to help me.
