First lady Melania Trump welcomed the official White House Christmas tree on Monday as part of a long-standing holiday tradition. The 18½-foot white fir—from Korson’s Tree Farms in Michigan—arrived at the North Portico by horse-drawn carriage, pulled by Clydesdales named Logan and Ben and escorted by three handlers in classic top hats.
Melania Trump, wearing a cream-colored coat and dark red gloves, circled the carriage, greeted the drivers, and posed for photos. The towering Christmas tree will be displayed in the Blue Room of the White House as holiday preparations begin.
