The Taiwanese government on Nov 26 once again reiterated its sovereignty saying that the future of the country must be decided by its people and not China.

This comes as China and Japan are embroiled in a bitter dispute about Taiwan, after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said a hypothetical Chinese attack on Taiwan threatening Japan's survival could trigger a military response.
