In Panama, various social organizations mobilized in commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. This year, the mobilization for the International Day against Violence against Women took place in a context of rejection of the policies imposed by the government of Raúl Mulino for violating women's rights. The protesters condemned state repression against working women, mass layoffs without respect for maternity rights, digital violence, the increase in feminicides, and the institutional setback with the closure of the Ministry of Women. In this sense, they denounced that these policies, together with the lack of support and accompaniment programs, increase vulnerability and threaten the safety of women.
